Nikita had such terrible bruising, a paramedic hasn't seen such extensive bruising, she had to have a tampon removed from her cervix, she's had her house/car attacked, mum threatened, intruders broke into her home and tried to stab her bf/ threatening her and her bf he tried to pay her off in 2019 for a million, she said no I want justice.

Woman wins civil rape case against Conor McGregor

A civil action was taken by Nikita Hand who had accused McGregor of raping her in a Dublin hotel in 2018.

@Mebebecat exactly this. That woman is trapped. Do you really think he would ever let her leave with his kids. Never.
All the people coming at her saying how awful she is and berating her for staying with him, clearly do not understand anything about abusive relationships.
She doesnt have a choice. He has money, strength, power and connections.
He is a violent aggressive rapist. I doubt she would get out of the situation alive if she attempted to leave him.

You have no idea if she doesn’t have a choice. There’s more support for women than ever and no court in the land would ever give him custody. She had the money and she would have bags of support. There’s also 4 children who are at risk and it’s a disservice to them to say “Oh well their mum is trapped”. Which is why I hope SS are involved

Autumnlovelove · 22/11/2024 22:46

@EvilsElsasPetSnowman genuine question. Do you think he would really let her leave with his kids?
Do you really truly believe there would be no violent repercussions for her?

He is an insignificant piece of shit. How would anyone who does not follow UFC have heard of him. ?

Are you suggestion the victim threw herself at him and thus deserved to be raped?

I follow boxing but the reason I know of this rapist is because of publicity around his criminal behaviour

EvilsElsasPetSnowman · 22/11/2024 22:43

Autumnlovelove · 22/11/2024 19:11

'That partner of his' might also be a victim of his control and abuse. Its not that easy to just leave someone especially when you have kids and he is a powerful, rich, violent man who would not hesitate to hurt you/kill you in a heartbeat.

Oh give over

She has a hell of a lot more money and power than the vast majority of women. She also has 4 children to protect. It’s not hard to leave but staying with an extremely violent man and hanging off his arm at his rape trial is hardly admirable qualities. At what point do we say “Actually she really should leave now”? When he kills someone? When he beats one of his children?

I hope social services are involved in the family - Dee Devlin is choosing to stay in a relationship with a demonstrably violent man. If that was Barry from Asda his children would be on the at risk register. I hope the same happens to this odious rapist

EvilsElsasPetSnowman · 22/11/2024 22:28

Good.

How the fuck Conor McGregor isn’t serving a life sentence for all the crimes he has committed I’ll never know. Including the intimidation of witnesses and relative ls of his victims. His Mrs ought to be ashamed to still be hanging off his arm. I wish I could ask her if the money if worth staying with a rapist

I put all the blame on him fir his actions- never said anything else. But if you support him- you minimise his actions- and I can not understands any woman doing that.

Women have choices. Not necessarily easy ones but they have choices.

You said What astonishes me is he has a partner and parents who are standing by him. How could anyone do that? I am baffled by any woman being able to support a piece of shit like this I tried to explain to you that none of us know whether or not she’s supporting him or not and that it’s entirely possible that she’s there because she’s doing her best to keep herself and her children safe. And instead of acknowledging that, you continued to rail against women rather than the men who commit these crimes. I’m obviously paraphrasing here, but it was along the lines of ‘yes, I’ve already said he’s disgusting, but let’s go back to criticising the women’.

And again, I ask you what choices she has? Do you think a violent man that treats women as things to do with as and when he pleases, will happily wave her off with their four children? Would you leave your children in the sole care of a violent rapist?

SoiledMyselfDuringSomeTurbulence · 22/11/2024 22:25

Even leaving this aside, he's got a criminal conviction list as long as your arm.

I very much hope you mean that he's not been convicted of a crime in a criminal court.

Blooody hell. This guy sounds like an absolute nightmare. How is he not locked up?!

She didn't say the women were responsible for his behaviour. She was frustrated that women having relationships with and being involved with these kinds of men might send out a message that they condone their disgusting behaviour.

If the women are there by choice, @LuluBlakey1 has a point, but obviously in this case we don't know but suspect it's no longer by choice.

I agree with you, but Lulu is not a misogynist 🙄

You can roll your eyes as much as you like. If you can’t see it, then I don’t know what to say to you. We’re unlikely to change each other’s opinion so I suggest we agree to differ and leave it there.

There's a lot of coked up scumbags around, did you hear about that poor woman who was tortured due to her friends drug debt recently?

I definitely wouldn't put it past McGregor to make her life an absolute nightmare if she left. I'm not saying he'd get Dee tortured but just saying he'd easily find people out there to scare her and watch her etc.

LuluBlakey1 · 22/11/2024 22:12

Whothefuckdoesthat · 22/11/2024 21:49

Really? The man does something absolutely horrific and puts a rape victim through all sorts of trauma. Yet @LuluBlakey1 writes a single sentence about him and the rest of her post is dedicated to how the women around him are in the wrong. What would you call that if not internalised misogyny? The women didn’t rape anyone. The women didn’t threaten anyone. The women didn’t break anyone’s jaw. They aren’t responsible for what that creature did.

Well aren’t you the lucky one?

I don’t know if you are incredibly naive, a bit thick or trying to be intentionally insulting, but if you think that leaving a violent man is as simple as telling him not to do anything to stop you or you’ll report him to the police, then I’m happy for you that you’ve never had that experience. I really am.

Who knows, she might be blissfully in love with him and believing everything that comes out of his mouth. Who are we to know? But his crimes are not her crimes.

kkloo · 22/11/2024 22:11

I think the DPP did have a chance at getting a guilty verdict. Yes there's a lot of people who don't understand the aftermath of rape and behaviour but I still think that there was a chance. The evidence about her injuries was very strong.

The amount of damages awarded to Nikita were disappointing, and especially that they didn't give any exemplary damages. So I suppose a jury for a criminal case could have found similar, they found in favour of her but they weren't particularly damning of him, but then a different 12 jurors could have felt more strongly so it's impossible to know.

I mean... Nikita Hand's house got broken into and her partner was stabbed. Samantha Murphys car was burned out. There's a definite pattern..I wouldn't want to be in the shoes of Dee Devlin if she was contemplating leaving.

Namerchangee · 22/11/2024 22:06

What a vile individual. He looks like an angry bollock. Wishing Nikita all the best - what an ordeal she has been through. Amazing woman to stand up to him.

mollyfolk · 22/11/2024 22:06

@SabinaSteele
The most dangerous time for a woman is when they try to leave their violent partner. Women get murdered by their partners all the bloody time.

We don't know why she stays, perhaps she was brought up in a violent home and this feels normal to her. Perhaps he's controlling her.

Either way she has done nothing wrong.

With people surprised that his parents were there. As a mother I would stand beside (not necessarily behind) my son . I would be horrified and disgusted but I would always be there: I would even feel like I bore responsibility for what had happened.
