Just checking in with you to say I'm sorry today has been bad. Tomorrow will be better and I'm in the Spoon-Army xxx

kittylion2 · 28/11/2024 19:42

I don’t think I’m going to tell my children as ex will find out and he’ll love it

What an absolute abhorrent sorry waste of a skin he sounds. He'd soon sing a different tune if all us spoonies descended on him and bashed him with a load of spoons. Great big heavy spoons.

spoonfulofmustard · 28/11/2024 19:11

and god trust me, I know how hard it to start allowing people back in and putting yourself first xxxx but you're worth it, and equally your choice xx

I’ve put my dressing gown on over my clothes it’s a Winnie the Pooh one and it’s lovely and warm. I’m just not going to mention it to them until I know for sure what’s what and also don’t want to worry them so near Christmas but I’m wondering what to say when I have to go to hospital for day a week on Monday and my leg will be all bandaged up xx

@Imbluedalale the last 2/3pages have been about when to tell the truth to people as it would upset them more to find out you hid it later on.... i dont want to sway you in a decision but you are allowing your parents to be there once more and if you need /want them its your choice xx

nornironlady · 28/11/2024 18:57

@Imbluedalale I'm back in my dressing gown and just finished a cuppa.
I understand where you are coming from on sharing your news. I expect with the ongoing appointments you have, it shouldn't be hard to just not mention this news to the children.
Spoonie Brigade will be marching behind you all the way x

That's crap. Have you told your parents, so they can support you?

Hi @Apolloneuro , yes I’ve told my parents , my mum was the first person I called. And I’ve told my sister she wanted to come and see my but she’s had a really long day so I told her not to come as I didn’t want her driving in the dark when she’s tired xx

Thank you very much @Nottogetapenny, I’m just not looking forward to all the extra hospital appointments and scans that come with it . I’ve got a phobia of hospitals since this year .

I don’t know how to write this or what to say. I’m sat in the hospital waiting for an ambulance to take me home and I’m crying my eyes out.
I’ve just seen my dermatologist and she did all the checks etc and looked closely at my leg and she’s thinks my new mole is another melanoma so I’m having another operation to remove it a week on Monday and depending on the thickness of it they will decide whether to cut deeper with another operation or look at further treatment . Also she said my throat is extremely swollen so much so that she can’t feel my lymph nodes so she’s going to let my oncologist know ready for when they see me on Monday . She also said that now that she thinks it’s returned I will be on lifelong care with them instead of the 5 years xx

Hi Laura, I’m good thanks, plans for today were to give my bedroom a good hoovering as well as laundry etc.
This made me giggle “The only person I’m shaving for from now on is my dermatologist”. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Hope the headmistress knows what she is letting herself in for 🫣

Glad you’re good @AdmittowearingCrocs. I never thought I’d say this but I now love doing laundry and hoovering. But ask me again in 6 months I might change my mind.
Well I made sure I was all clean and shaved this time as I didn’t realise on my last appointment they check every Knuck and cranny. Last time I had a shower night before and put on some thick fluffy socks and when I got to my appointment the dermatologist wanted me to take all my clothes off inc socks and she pulled each toe apart to check and between each toe was black bits of fluff from the socks . I was mortified xx

If the fine is at the discretion of the headteacher, and if she knows your circumstances and still issues a fine ... well all I can say is she must completely lack empathy and shouldn't be a headteacher, and that she fully deserves having your mother sicced on her.

Thank you @kittylion2 , how are you today? I’ve just got to hospital with 4 mins left I spare . Phew 😮‍💨
The ambulance men were the most lovely men I’ve ever come across we have just spent 20 mins talking about sausage rolls and port pies 😂xx
