Just that really. We were out with friends, going back to theirs. Dh refused to back to theirs but I don't know why. The others left in a cab. I couldn't leave dh alone in the pub. I I said I'm going home. He said OK. Followed me out in a fit and angry, cos he felt obliged to follow me. He's walked home. I'm 2 miles away from homre and sitting in the cold shivering
He messaged me to ask if I got an uber home. I said no, he said good we've spent £x on uber tonight.

He's walked home and I'm sitting on the kerb, 2 miles away in the dark, cold.

Can you go to your friends?

Either go there or your friends, sober up and then have a chat with DH

Bobbie12345 · 16/11/2024 01:18

Grow up and get yourself out of this situation. He is not making you sleep there. You are doing it to yourself.

Hualalai · 16/11/2024 01:17

Order an Uber and go home.

Aria999 · 16/11/2024 01:17

He probably thinks you are an adult woman and you sitting on the kerb from your own choice is not his responsibility.

He has a point.

What are you trying to achieve? Other than death by hypothermia, which I suppose might make him sorry but you would never know....

Balloonhearts · 16/11/2024 01:17

This is pathetic. Get up and go home. Do you know how unsafe it is to sleep rough? Walk home and if, in the morning you are sober and still want revenge, do the mature thing and rub chilli in all his pants.

Boopadoop90 · 16/11/2024 01:17

He left me in the street. He didn't want to walk after me when I said was going home. He felt like he HAD to. Stuff that

Hualalai · 16/11/2024 01:16

Don't be so silly OP. It's dangerous to sleep on the kerb.
Have you been drinking or taking drug.
Order an Uber.

StSwithinsDay · 16/11/2024 01:16

He clearly doesn't care I'm sitting on the kerb.
He is probably fed up with your drama llama shite.

ManchesterGirl2 · 16/11/2024 01:16

Why are you being so incapable? Single people get home on their own all the time.

Get off your ass and go home. Walk or take a taxi, whichever you prefer. Stop being a drama queen, and discuss it with him once you've both sobered up in the morning.

Boopadoop90 · 16/11/2024 01:15

Ty all. I am so so so cold. He clearly doesn't care I'm sitting on the kerb. I'm so upset at him. Our friends think it weird how he's acted

He’s been a dick,
So has the op. She's an adult. Sitting on the side of the road like a fool.

Codlingmoths · 16/11/2024 01:15

You are losing the high ground here by sleeping on the kerb. You should have got a cab to the friends house. What are you going to do now? (Do not ever say to him ‘you made me sleep on the kerb, because he didn’t)

HollaHolla · 16/11/2024 01:14

Like others say, don’t just sit there stewing. Get a cab or Uber and go home. Sort out your argument in the morning. He’s been a dick, but there’s no resolution to be reached whilst you’re just sitting outside alone. It’s silly and it’s cold (well, it is where I am) tonight.

Wingedharpy · 16/11/2024 01:13

This is how drunk people die of hypothermia OP.
Get up and get an Uber or start walking but stop sitting there .

He was in a huff but don't know why. I said I'm going home, he v reluctantly followed me I said don't bother. He said he wanted to walk home alone. So I let him. I'm in the cold, shivering, a good 2 miles away

Do you often say things like 'Don't bother' to get a rise? If you do, I think he's probably just thought 'Fuck it, all right then, I've had enough.'

I mean, he was really unkind to do this but if he was a bit drunk then it might have had the effect of silencing his conscience.

Just get yourself safe now and try to talk next time, rather than saying something that could blow out of proportion and end up hurting you.

Aria999 · 16/11/2024 01:13

This is all kinds of messed up.

You should have gone to your friends. You say you didn't want to leave him alone in the pub but you then wanted to go home and he wanted to stay in the pub, which would have been leaving you alone.

It is not normal behavior to sleep on the street in winter because your husband had a strop.

Sounds like he was a bit unreasonable and there is doubtless a massive backstory but your current behavior makes no sense. Take responsibility for your own safety and well being. Do not sleep on the kerb to score some kind of weird points off him ffs.

bumblefeline · 16/11/2024 01:13

load of complete lies this thread, enjoy your night on the kerb.

Agix · 16/11/2024 01:13

OP, hes a dick but youre being dramatic. Go get an uber somewhere - if not home, to a friends house.

swimsong · 16/11/2024 01:13

So you couldn't leave him alone in the pub - but then you did cos he had to follow you out. Go home or to your friends.

Boopadoop90 · 16/11/2024 01:12

He has left me in the dark and alone

You should have a flashlight button on your phone xx

SprinklesSparkles · 16/11/2024 01:13

Boopadoop90 · 16/11/2024 01:10

I'm now sleeping the night on the kurb
He can see my location my clearly doesn't care

are you drunk?

StSwithinsDay · 16/11/2024 01:13

I've Been sitting on the cold kurb for an hour
Why? Are you incapable of getting yourself home?

eightIsNewNine · 16/11/2024 01:13

What point are you trying to make now?

DurinsBane · 16/11/2024 01:12

I appreciate you are upset, a man shouldn’t leave their loved one along outside at this time of night. But get yourself home in a taxi, and have it out with him tomorrow if you want.

Boopadoop90 · 16/11/2024 01:12

He has left me in the dark and alone
