Just that really. We were out with friends, going back to theirs. Dh refused to back to theirs but I don't know why. The others left in a cab. I couldn't leave dh alone in the pub. I I said I'm going home. He said OK. Followed me out in a fit and angry, cos he felt obliged to follow me. He's walked home. I'm 2 miles away from homre and sitting in the cold shivering
He messaged me to ask if I got an uber home. I said no, he said good we've spent £x on uber tonight.

He's walked home and I'm sitting on the kerb, 2 miles away in the dark, cold.

For goodness sake, walk home. You’re all clearly pissed. You’re going to sleep on a kerb instead of walking? Give yourself a shake! Get up and go home.

How could dh walk off knowing he had left me late at night? Then go home and fall asleep ?

Probably knew you’d be just fine sitting on the kerb holding a great big self-pity party until you got too bored or cold and would then call an Uber to take you home like every other adult woman in the world.

Anyone else suffering contact embarrassment?

Yes!
Great username btw.

Pickandmixmood · 16/11/2024 02:07

Please don’t put yourself at risk OP. There could be any perverts out at that time of night.

To be fair, it is a lot safer with her husband than walking on her own. Walking on her own at 1am on a Friday night for 2 miles isn’t the safest thing to do

Nope. Sarah Everard walked 2.5 miles in the dark alone and look what happened.

StampOnTheGround · 16/11/2024 02:07

You're both drunk - just get in a taxi home you don't need to sleep on the kerb.

The answer to the first question is because you told him to.
From your earlier post... "I said I'm going home, he v reluctantly followed me I said don't bother. He said he wanted to walk home alone. So I let him".

To answer your second question... becaue he's pissed and pissed off with you.
You're also pissed as your not making any sense at all.
Stop moping.
Take responsibility for your own safety.
Get a cab home.
Your children are there and they will need their mother in the morning.

Organise a taxi now.

lovemyboyz247 · 16/11/2024 02:03

He's gone, he's home and gone to sleep. He doesn't care you are there on your own
Do not sit there pondering why.

Show him you didn't need him to get home.
It's 2am. You need to get yourself home. Please call an Uber. Stop thinking about him. Think about your safety and your son.

Growuppeople · 16/11/2024 02:02

go home your a grown women! Drunk or not get over yourself. You’re doing this to yourself no wonder he went home!! I assume your only just 18?

Because you are a massive PITA demanding drama queen?

You are a grown woman, married to a man who is utterly sick of your "ME ME ME" dramatics. Dont blame him. I would have taken you at your word too.

Get yourself home and spend time doing some self reflection. Maybe not "how could he " but "WHY would he...."... Think about it.

whathaveiforgotten · 16/11/2024 01:59

Mate, you've got kids.

It's dangerous to sleep outside, in November, for a multitude of reasons. Let alone after drinking.

You're choosing to put their mother at risk, not your husband.

You are typing coherently on Mumsnet. So you are perfectly able to sort some sort of way home.

You're putting yourself at risk to prove a point. When you've got kids, that's such a selfish and irresponsible thing to do.

because rightly or wrongly you told him to, and he did exactly as you asked, on many threads on here some people usually say their Dh does not listen etc, and yours did

Quite easily I imagine! Don’t forget to set your alarm for early so you don’t get swept up by the street cleaners x

Drama queen you will learn when you grow up @Boopadoop90

PyongyangKipperbang · 16/11/2024 01:53

Can anyone else smell burning martyr?

Get a fucking taxi and stop being so sodding childish.

"I am sleeping on the kerb" do me a fucking a favour!

mamechange · 16/11/2024 01:50

Don't mean to be rude but you are acting like a juvenile drunken buffoon. GO HOME.

CandyLeBonBon · 16/11/2024 01:49

Sounds like you both need to sober up, have a conversation and stop being a pair of drama llamas. Confused

Edingril · 16/11/2024 01:45

Nine9 · 16/11/2024 01:32

And you can't order a taxi/uber yourself because...?

Because the bottom lip is out and martyr is their middle name?

Not the point of the thread I know but not everyone can just call an uber. It entirely depends on where you live. I've waited 3 hours plus for taxis before.

The DH text her to see if she got an Uber. They already got an Uber earlier in the night. The friends went off in a cab. I think she’d be fine.
