To think some people exaggerate how tired they are as parents?

Yes, raising kids is hard, but sometimes it seems like people milk the ‘tired parent’ angle for sympathy. AIBU to think they overstate it?

I'm pretty sure 'some people' exaggerate everything in life. I had kids who slept (mostly) and I was still knackered. I can feel a bit of sympathy still for those parents who are on their knees with kids who don't sleep through the night without starting a sneery thread.

Weird post.

Tell me you don’t have kids without telling me you don’t have kids🤦🏻‍♀️

Tell me you’re missing the point without telling me you’re missing the point. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I thought most people were tired in the first few years....what with the lack of sleep.

Everyone's different, and has different sets of circumstances and support. For some parents, life is exhausting.
Your post seems kind of mean spirited tbh.

Nope, I had twins who both had reflux and colic.
I was so so tired.
I didn't expect sympathy though just coffee.

Some people might do, some people are genuinely exhausted constantly, whether that's mentally or physically

Sometimes it seems like people start topics in AIBU just because they fancy a fight…

Maybe they are just genuinely tired?

Either way, who really cares, they are clearly struggling a bit and vocalising it.
