Both houses as well.

It obviously wasn't just a bunch of "uneducated and ignorant" or "Misogynists" "Trumpers". Democracy checks and balances at it's finest. Praise God for hearing all the prayers. God Bless the United States of America.

You realise that the Republicans want to abolish even those "certain circumstances"?

Threat to the mother's life and no chance the foetus will be viable anyway? Well the mother will have to die, because she's not getting an abortion.

Child raped and impregnated? She'll have to carry the rapist's child to term then. Forced marriage will be next.

Women can have a cesarean to deliver the baby.

That is the most illogical argument. By the same "logic" if I say Kier Starmer is a rabbit, you pointing out that he isn't actually in fact a rabbit is the proof that he is a rabbit.

Some people aren't too bright are they? Here's looking at you @Dollychopsporkchops .

I think when anyone feels genuinely scared or vulnerable after an election result, it’s better not to gloat, however pleased you may be. Whoever the victor. As the people most likely to be frightened are those without money or much agency who feel that the way they live their lives now may be under threat.

Nothing is ever black and white. For everyone who thinks their life will be better under Trump, there will be someone for whom life will get worse.

Jessie1259 · 06/11/2024 14:14

Yay go you OP! You must be so pleased! What a wonderful result! He's such a great man! He will make America great again just like he did before! It's fantastic that abortion was completely banned in a number of states! Why should women have body autonomy? I wonder where we can find a rapist and felon to get our country back in shape too?

EmmaOvary · 06/11/2024 14:14

Sorry are there, in fact, any positive threads on MN about this? All I've seen is how the world is going to end, all women are going to die, and we should never set foot in DisneyWorld ever again in case we get gotten by hat-wearing MAGAs. 😱

I don't care either way about Donald Trump, but I don't blame OP for starting a thread with a different take on it all.

Plenty of similar threads with people rejoicing. Didn't feel like we needed another one as this is AIBU not a personal social media profile where we need to hear status update.

Click bait

CustardCreams2 · 06/11/2024 14:13

The best candidate won. Has Kamala not even had the grace to address all the people that voted for her? I haven’t seen anything from her. Quite telling of her character.

Smallsalt · 06/11/2024 14:13

Red necks will be red necks I suppose. Happy for you.
Mr Tango wouldn't piss on you if you were on fire but if rapists are your thing...,...enjoy

Look at the posting history, this user has joined purely to wind everyone up. What is the point of letting them remain?

I'm really pleased about the trump victory. Why shouldn't we be allowed to celebrate. If Harris had won, I just wouldn't have commented on any celebration threads. It's not fair to always attack and try and silence trumps supporters.

I saw a man on twitter/x say that if his teenage daughter was raped and became pregnant then he would want her to have the baby because it is "what jesus would want". Sickening

Dollychopsporkchops · 06/11/2024 14:06

Yes, women can have rights but no one should have the right to murder.

Don’t act surprised when people call it that. If it weren’t murder, it wouldn’t even be a heavily debated and contested thing.

So why aren't they in favour of gun control, or of road safety?

SerenityNowSerenityNow · 06/11/2024 14:11

Regardless of your politics I struggle to understand how anyone can celebrate Trump, as an individual, being elected.

He's clearly a dangerous person and shouldn't be in a position of power. His speeches border on incoherence, he lies, he's misogynistic, sexist and racist. Is this the sort of person we celebrate being in power?

I'm as GC as they come and really struggled with Kamala Harris' views on the Trans issues but if you think Trump is any better for biological women then you're deluded. He open admits to sexually assaulting them!

DdraigGoch · 06/11/2024 14:10

Icanthinkformyselfthanks · 06/11/2024 14:05

@smooththecat , I don’t believe that a woman carrying a baby should have the right to abort that baby apart from in certain circumstances and then only as early as possible under those circumstances. If that is what you’re talking about. A baby is not merely part of a woman’s body in my opinion and is in fact a separate person despite its dependency on its mother. I am permitted not to be a sheep. I can disagree with you.

izimbra · 06/11/2024 14:00

You're right!

There will be loads of people who genuinely enjoy the thought of DACA recipients who've known no other home than the USA, being ripped from their US citizen partners and children and shoved into deportation concentration camps.

Because people are hateful cunts. Particularly when it comes to immigration.

@izimbra , oh dear it does seem democracy is difficult for some to take if it doesn’t go their way. Some people are getting very rattled today. 😂

???

You haven't proved any point. I feel the need to hit back because I think people who force women to carry babies they don't want are abhorrent. Not because I think abortion is murder.

Lifeomars · 06/11/2024 14:09

Why?

PoorlyBlah · 06/11/2024 14:09

He is a convicted rapist and sex offender.

He is considered by his former chief of staff, Mark Millet to be the "most dangerous person ever" and a "total fascist".

He severely abused his power by his relentless efforts to undermine the 2020 election and overturn legitimate results. He also spread disinformation about the voting process.

He invited a gathering of supporters to attack the US Capitol while electoral votes were being counted. He urged supporters to "fight like hell".

According to Michael Gerhardt, law professor at University of North Carolina, "Trump literally bullied people and spread disinformation on a scale never seen before".

He has normalised and spread extremism, hatred, racism and violence. He refuses to condemn white supremacists.

He has tried to manipulate the justice system to get off with felonies. He also attempted to undermine and obstruct the Mueller investigation.

He has been impeached for pressuring the Ukrainian government to help his re-election campaign.

... and don't forget his stories that immigrants were eating cats and dogs in Ohio 🤔

I could go on ....

And you are "pleased" he will now be president again? 🤷🥴

Beezknees · 06/11/2024 14:07
