"But we already know what Trump is like. He’s been president before, America didn’t implode, in fact they’ve voted him back in again, with a bigger majority. They think they were worse off under the democrats.
They prefer him to the woke, weak left, where they are financially worse off.
If someone has a different opinion to you, that doesn’t make you right."
They prefer a fascist 'strong man' because they're frightened of the future and are frightened by progressivism.
As has been every country in the past that's voted in a fascist strong man.
They were also told by Trump's client media that the recent inflation was the result of Democrat policies.
Of course any informed person knows that it was an economic phenomenon seen across all developed economies following the shock of the pandemic, and was only slightly worse in the US than in the Eurozone (and resolved faster in the US than in the Eurozone).
And as many on the right, like Trump, are also isolationist they have no idea what's been going on around the rest of the world because they don't access that type of reporting.
So ignorance, propaganda, hatred & fear of marginalised people (ie 'anti-wokeness) and misogyny & xenophobia rooted in Christian Nationalism have got the US where it is now.
