"Does any gender critical person ever mention trans men? No, because they don't carry the same risk statistically, as they are female."

But the core of your hatred and contempt for transgender people is that you think their whole identity is 'a lie' and you think that people who feel the need point this out are being oppressed.

Stop inventing nonsense. I already said no one hates trans people but it is a lie yes. Humans cant be the opposite sex. Their identify relies on old sexist stereotypes and 'dress'.

You really have nothing except to repeat this mantra. You do more harm to trans people than you think by ignoring women and their valid safeguarding concerns.

AccidentallyWesAnderson · 07/11/2024 18:18

@izimbra what about my other points?

Should trans women be allowed to compete in women's sports? Change in women's changing rooms? Be incarcerated with women? Should children and teenagers be prescribed puberty blockers?

What is 'transing children'?

"They don't get to have additional rights that oppress women"

Have you personally oppressed by a transwoman? What happened?

Yes. I’ve had a male rapist who is an all round menace to women stand in front of me and tell me he’s a woman, that I’m supposed to refer to as a woman and call him she. My company policy would dictate I would have to go along with this. I didn’t btw but there are many women who would risk losing their jobs as a result, who need to put food on the table, why does this person’s feelings (as that’s all it is) overrule theirs?

I also have a trans woman colleague who is lovely (and uses the neutral toilet) and I refer to them by their chosen name.

It doesn’t matter if I have personally been affected or not and even if I didn’t know any trans women doesn’t change anything, plenty of women are being affected by this ideology.

Thankfully I’ve never been to prison or been raped, doesn’t stop me from caring about the ones who have and who could potentially be locked up with or have a male in their groups where they go to get help, despite the efforts of the oh so open minded your brains have fallen out brigade, such as yourself.

ItIsBeginingToLookLike · 07/11/2024 18:11

There seems to be a theme of low comprehension.

Why would someone (even if they enjoyed her music) take political advice from Taylor Swift, who lives her life in a way environmentally wise "do as I say not as I do" or "it's somehow different for me, I am special"?

She lives a life in definace and oppositional to her woke beliefs. I also don't understand her claims that she is Christian, it's an identity, she doesn't live the life of a Christian.

Literally no-one said that being assaulted is funny. You are purposefully misinterpreting what is said to support your [lack of an] argument.

You make no sense. If sexual assault isn't funny then why would you find a joke an about sexual assault funny?
I guess it's funny if it's referring to someone else eh?

Most of your comments have been deleted which probably tells you something. I didn't report them so clearly others also find your views abhorrent.

If you're tired of 'gender mania' stop fucking obsessing over it. Transgender people make up about 0.5% of the population. If you weren't constantly trying to legislate them out of existence and going on gender critical rants about them you'd forget they exist. I suspect you've never met a transgender person. But you feel horribly oppressed by their existence and by the thought of them having any rights to live their life the way you would want to live yours - doing what's best for yourself and leaving other people the fuck alone.

Oh FFS! This BS. When you drill down and actually engage your brain you'll realise no one really cares about trans people. They care about men taking spaces and winning in women's sports aka fairness, they care about retaining their hard fought for single sex spaces, in prisons, in changing rooms, in rape crisis centres, all places MEN shouldn't be in beside them. It's MEN that are the problem, not trans. Does any gender critical person ever mention trans men? No, because they don't carry the same risk statistically, as they are female. If they, as male identifying, want to enter male sports and prisons crack on!

They care about not being gaslighted into believing something that isn't true - a trans woman standing in front of you isn't an actual woman no matter how loud people scream and shout. People are being hounded out of jobs for stating biological fact.

No one says they don't exist, they can wear whatever they want, call themselves whatever they want, but no one else has to go along with it if they don't want to, like any other ideology. And FYI - they currently have the same rights as anyone else! They don't get to have additional rights that oppress women seeing as you want to talk about oppression.

It's a men's rights movement all day long. And don't get me started on transing children. Rachel Levine anyone?

"Talikg to him about it, he said that most want cheap fuel/energy, and couldn’t care less about eco policies, most want low inflation/prices, most think Trump will make them richer, most want immigration (from Mexico) stopped, and most hate the trans issues. They also hate wokery."

Most people who he mixes with? His friends and colleagues?

What does 'most hate trans issues' mean do you think? The right talks ceaselessly and aggressively about transgender people and legislation to restrict the rights of transgender people to live freely, despite the fact that very few on the right have had any meaningful engagement (or indeed have ever met) people from this community.

'Couldn't care less about eco policies' - because they're ignorant and also selfish. Which isn't really something I'd find easy to defend, but you crack on.

No, the right do not talk ceaselessly and aggressively about transgender people and legislation to restrict the rights of transgender people to leave freely. Where is your evidence? Sources?

Transgender people have the same rights as everyone else. Women don’t want men, regardless of how they identify, regardless of their pseudo reality or how they cosplay at being a woman, in their sports and spaces. Or gender ideology in schools.

I’ll say it again, no one has to be forced into believing in an ideology if they don’t want to. Trans ideology included.

"While the rest of us have been fretting about recycling and using paper straws, a new study shows that the super-wealthy have been polluting more than ever."

Climate change is an existential threat that requires international co-operation and really well thought through legislation.

Which nobody's going to get from a Trump administration.

Shockingly, Taylor's average flight time was just 80 minutes and only covered 139 miles (225km) – a distance that the star easily could have driven.

You need to tell Taylor, your "vote Harris" poster girl this, not us, as she is the biggest problem.

If they weren't telling the rest of us how to vote/think/live, nobody would be as bothered by their lifestyle.

While the rest of us have been fretting about recycling and using paper straws, a new study shows that the super-wealthy have been polluting more than ever.

Despite being owned by just 0.003 per cent of the population, research shows that private jets of the rich make an 'outsized' contribution to climate change.

Scientists from Linnaeus University in Sweden found that private jets produced 15.6 million tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO2) in 2023, up 46 per cent from 2019.

The most frequent fliers each churned out 2,400 tonnes of emissions in 2023 – more than 500 times as much as the average individual.

Last year, ultra-rich jet owners – including the likes of pop star Taylor Swift and Amazon founder Jeff Bezos – flew for almost 26,000 hours over 4,301,561 individual flights.

However, the researchers argue that a sizeable amount of these journeys could have been made by car or other means of transport.

My son emigrated to there 15 years ago. He’s still British so couldn't vote in this election. No skin in the game.

That’s why Trump won. 🤷‍♀️

@CoatRack fuck me..... that your come back. 😂😂😂

Someone once grabbed me by the pussy when I was in a nightclub. I'm curious as to why I was supposed to find that funny. Or why someone saying they do that is funny?

You might think I'm dull but that's a million times better than finding comments about sexual assault funny. That makes you a dick.

Literally no-one said that being assaulted is funny. You are purposefully misinterpreting what is said to support your [lack of an] argument.

Incidentally it's three times for me, not all in nightclubs, yet I think anyone can joke about whatever they like. Guess that's my prerogative eh?

The hysteria, hand wringing and virtue signalling is off the scale. In fact, it’s funny.

I honestly do not give a shiny shit who is president of the USA. Last time Trump was in my life here in the UK changed very little. I doubt he’s going to affect it now outside of mild interest in his shenanigans.

Some of you need to get a life or pay attention to the lefty shit show you’ve just voted into the UK.

You clearly don’t understand what it will mean that he wants to ‘drill baby drill’ for oil and that he wants to pull out of NATO or what will happen if Russia wins. You must struggle with your imagination may be.

The whole thing is a hoax to control those of you that are brainwashed.

Where do you get your information from and do you seek out information that challenges your world view?

Sandy I think you need to go and lie down. You've never not been near a man or woman who hasn't joked about things like that to one degree or another.

You've got at least 4 more years to indulge your fascism headcanon and handmaids tale fetishes, so try not to overdo it on the first day 👍

Literally NONE of the men in my life would dream about joking about sexual assault. I chose my friends wisely.

Why are people "tired of abortion"? Isn't that the definition of something where people have different views? If you don't want an abortion don't have one. Can you not see that you're putting together a load of very different things in one package of sort of angry protest. But what are you actually protesting about? How does gender identity and abortion hurt you? And how can it possibly hurt you MORE than the trade tarrifs, civil unrest, drop in GDP and so on that this new government will create?

@Dollychopsporkchops

And it’s because people are tired and liberals don’t seem to grasp that. People are tired of gender mania, immigration, abortion and everything else that comes from the left"

Immigration is a tool of capitalism - which you love. Hence exceptionally high levels of immigration under the Tories in the UK. The main difference with between the left and the right on immigration is that the right wants the benefits of immigration while being fucking hateful about immigrants - because the far right NEEDs to have a common enemy. It used to be Jews, now it's migrants.

As for the right being 'tired of abortion' - what makes you think right wing women don't have abortions? 1 in 5 women will have an abortion in their lifetime. Your family. Your friends. Your colleagues. It never used to be a partisan political issue in the USA, and it's certainly not in the UK or in any country without deranged Christian fundamentalists infecting the body politic.
