This one is a Therapy dog, and comes from a line of gentle temperaments.
Genetics plays a huge part, and is as important as training.

Not all dogs are vicious, or large enough to kill and maim.
Fighting bred dogs {Dogs specifically bred to attack and fight other animals or dogs are the main dangers to humans and children}

if that’s a lurcher or a greyhound then it’s basically bred to kill other animals. Not much different from the dogs you detest for their bull baiting and dog fighting history. Double standard much!

Not sure I’d trust it with a rabbit or cat.

It is time to cull all dogs. There is simply no other way.

@T4phage it's because they can. There ate nothing consequences. The police aren't following up reports no one is interested

T4phage · 16/11/2024 23:15

Nothing will ever happen because people are ignoring the law.

It'll be up to individuals to try and keep themselves safe as best they can.

Bestchocolate · 16/11/2024 23:14

Well all this kicked off under the last government so maybe this one will act.

It's like any other initiatives money needs to be thrown at it and police on the ground etx6

winewine · 16/11/2024 22:53

No need to cull all dogs.
Just the ones that maim and kill.

No dogs = no deaths from dogs.

Are you for real?

Something needs to be done. I can't see these attacks stopping any time soon.
It's terrifying.

Let’s put this in perspective. Last year the police recorded 30,549 instances of out of control dogs. That’s over 2,500 a month.

what a shocking waste of resources, it beggars belief

@winewine that poor woman and baby. It looks like it went for her small dog? AND an extremely young boy with the beast.

It's unbelievable I'd expect emergency laws right now.
These dogs are related to an inbred dog called kimber who kill and they are owned by unfortunately people who don't have the intelligence.

Killer Kimbo.

Almost all of the XL Bully types are related to this American Pit cross.

It's almost always the grossly unsuitable owner that has these types of dog.

It's just so depressing that these attacks keep happening.

The government is toothless.

A cull should have been announced- people can't be kept safe, as these massive dogs are always escaping, unmuzzled, from their puny owners.

13 attacks in 48 hours?! And still nothing is being done?? If this was any other violent crime it would be stopped! Cull these things!

And that’s just in one area! God knows how many across the country

For an awful minute I thought “ My baby” was a dog you were referring to being jumped on by other dogs

But dogs were attempting to get to your CHILD-
That’s absolutely appalling.

My friend was pushing her toddler and baby in a buggy and an English Bull terrier came barrelling out of a park and flew at the baby, overturning the buggy.
Both children had injuries.

She said it was like grappling with a pig 🐖

It’s owner came up and beat it off with a chain he was carrying.

He was on a ban for keeping dogs ( dog fighting)
at the time.

Her children are teenagers now, but even now she keeps a weather eye out for that type of dog.

That’s awful. 😞

Spondoolies · 16/11/2024 20:14

It’s outrageous

OonaStubbs · 16/11/2024 15:42

When are the police going to do something about these dogs?

How many more people have to be killed?

After the Dunblane massacre, there was very quick action to ban nearly all firearms. These dogs have killed far more people and will go onto kill far more unless the government take swift action to stop it.

Kpo58 · 16/11/2024 08:45

Spondoolies · 15/11/2024 10:03

If they can’t ban dogs from trains then they should only allow muzzled dogs (and guide dogs). So many people have dogs now, you could potentially have a carriage with several dogs which is a recipe for disaster.

How would that be enforced as they are already too scared to go up to people with XL bullets?

Also it would be very hard to find a muzzle to fit some flat faced or tiny dogs.
