A leaked French medical report from 2023 has confirmed that Algerian boxer Imane Khelif is male.

Top endocrinologists found that Khelif has XY chromosomes, no uterus, internal testicles, and a "micropenis."

The report was drafted in June of 2023 via a collaboration between the Kremlin-Bicêtre hospital in Paris, France, and the Mohamed Lamine Debaghine hospital in Algiers, Algeria. Drafted by expert endocrinologists Soumaya Fedala and Jacques Young, the report reveals that Khelif is impacted by 5-alpha reductase deficiency, a disorder of sexual development that is only found in biological males.

Reminds me of when people used to say Lady Gaga had a penis…

Again ... what? 🫠🫠🫠

Why can't people concentrate on the case in hand - why this obsession with dragging random names into it?

ForYouAndForMe · 04/11/2024 17:36

Finding it sad that fairness, honour and respect seem all outdated now having given way to cheats and liars. I can see how an individual might seek to get away with such hypocrisy and dishonesty bit the Olympic committee? Utterly corrupt. Maybe women should start their own olympics. Without men.

CabbagesAndCeilingWax · 04/11/2024 17:36

Everyone involved has always known this. These tests were carried out years ago, and Khelif accepted the results without fuss. The IOC just decided that these results can still mean "special female".

TheKeatingFive · 04/11/2024 17:35

The "beating up females" is a bit hyperbolic. It's boxing ffs, and the goal is to win by punching your opponent.
On the basis of your comment, then the women competing and winning obviously must "enjoy beating up women" also.

The truth is hard to face, huh? Female boxers consent to fight females. Not males. That's what makes this so appalling.

And why would we be wrong to split sports by sex? There was a reason for that in the first place - has it gone away?

Ereshkigalangcleg · 04/11/2024 17:33

Tearing a woman (unless proven otherwise) down without any solid proof based on hearsay (which originated from remarks made by Russian boxing chair, hmmm. Not like Russians have some vested interest in Olympic committee failures, right?!)… I mean … it all screams sensationalism doesn’t it?

Are people honestly still attempting to push this line? Give it up, that ship has sailed.

Veryoldandtired · 04/11/2024 17:32

Helleofabore · 04/11/2024 17:13

Just to clarify. The IBC is not the 'Russian boxing federation'. And the results were also verified by the European Boxing Confederation.

The International Boxing Association's (IBA) recognition as the global body for the sport was stripped on Thursday by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) due to its failure to complete reforms on governance, finance and ethical issues.

I mean what has been confirmed 100% is that Imane has a medical condition. She’s a woman with a rare medical condition. Likely, this condition has been exploited in one sense or another. I think it’s fair to say that she shouldn’t be allowed to compete with women based on her karyotype but I think it’s unfair to call her a man without any proof. There’s no actual proof that she has testicles and a mini penis. It seem to have resurfaced now as she’s gone pro. One day we’ll know for sure, until then people will speculate.

This. He clearly knew he was a man but enjoyed beating up females in the boxing ring. IOC should hang their heads in shame and demand his medal back.

The "beating up females" is a bit hyperbolic. It's boxing ffs, and the goal is to win by punching your opponent.

On the basis of your comment, then the women competing and winning obviously must "enjoy beating up women" also.

While it seems obvious that Imane should not compete in that category again, there has to be some compassion here for someone that has lived all her life as a woman and only latterly discovered that, technically, she is not and that moreover the only thing she "has" is to be lost at the same time.

I never hear how unfair it is that 7' 6" basketball players have an unfair advantage over 5' 10", regardless of the sex of either.

Perhaps we are wrong to split sports (if boxing is a sport) into categories based on weight, height, age and sex. Perhaps there is a more inclusive test that would balance out the dis/advantages we're born with.

Having being punched in the face by an average height and weight woman and having being punched in the face by a 6 foot 3, lean man I can tell you I'm not surprised at all by this. Only one of them gave me a black eye and broke my jaw and it wasn't the average woman.

Her opponent in the Olympics quit the fight because she knew what would cause her significant harm and I don't for a minute think it was based on prejudice, but a sensible measure for self preservation.

Edited

I hope you are a boxer, otherwise I am so sorry that you have had such rough luck! Flowers

GargoylesofBeelzebub · 04/11/2024 17:24

I think your anger is slightly misplaced. You can equally say that in the world where a woman doesn’t fit into men’s standards she is called a disgrace and a cheat. I mean, even courts operate on presumption of innocence. One day the truth will surface but that’s not it.

Have you been drinking?!?! Which woman are called a disgrace and a cheat? Imane is a man. Several independent sex tests have shown that to be the case. He even signed to accept the IBA findings.

www.iba.sport/wp-content/uploads/2024/08/Letter-to-Imane-Khelif-Receipt-acknowledged.pdf

He also started an appeal and dropped it when his team test results came back.

We ALREADY know the truth.

TheKeatingFive · 04/11/2024 17:22

I don't think it's particularly nice or dignified that the details of this man's DSD are all over social media, but his own actions led to this.

PurpleSparkledPixie · 04/11/2024 17:22

headstone · 04/11/2024 16:39

She does imo as does Miranda hart, but that is just my subjective opinion and isn’t meant to be an insult, some women just do look manly.

You need to go to specsavers if you think either aren't "womanly" 🙄

GargoylesofBeelzebub · 04/11/2024 17:20

ToMeToYou2 · 04/11/2024 14:13

Fancy being outed as having micro-penis, must be mortifying

It's making me laugh that it's all over Twitter now. No sympathy. He knew he is male before he chose to get in the Olympics boxing ring and be broadcast to the world. Had he not cheated no one would know.

Yes, sorry. I should've looked back for the details, was being lazy.

TheKeatingFive · 04/11/2024 17:17

Why would a 'Russian conspiracy' target an Algerian athlete anyway?

Come on now, we've gone way beyond this level of disingenuousness.

As we've pointed out multiple times, it is nothing to do with looks and "not fitting into men's standards". Lots of female athletes don't (well, if you're talking to the kind of idiots who think Serena Williams is 'manly') and you're talking to feminist women who don't believe in upholding that sexist shite about having to be "feminine" anyway. It's irrelevant to us.

The reason for questioning Khelif was that HE had failed two sex tests previously. That HE won't take another test. And that HIS coach had admitted there was a "karyotype" issue. And multiple female boxers were complaining about unfairness, that he was dangerous. I suspect they know rather more than you do about their own sports. I think you don't give a shit about fairness for women and think men should always come first.

Underthinker · 04/11/2024 17:15

headstone · 04/11/2024 17:03

Well I think there might be a little bit of racism in this IK saga, unless it’s proven she is actually man, certainly I’ve heard some awful things said about her country which most people couldn’t even find on a map. I also thought Lady Di looked a bit manly , I know that might upset even more people!

Algeria is bloody massive. Throw a dart at a map of NW Africa and you'll probably hit it.

It's not about looking manly. Lady Di never had an MRI scan that showed her testicles.

Helleofabore · 04/11/2024 17:13

hihelenhi · 04/11/2024 16:55

It's not based on "social media hearsay". There were multiple reports, including outside the Russian boxing federation (and even they, according to a respected US sports journalist, showed him two separate reports from independent labs. The "Russians doing it because of their own fighters" theory has long been debunked you know). There's also the interview with Khelif's own trainer which states he has a male karyotype.

I see the bias and panicked defence of a cheating man beating up women in the boxing ring has started. You lot are getting desperate now.

The whole thing could, of course, be cleared up VERY simply with a cheek swab. Which Khelif won't take because he knows damn well it will show he is male. He has, as suspected and as is the case with Caster Semanya, DSD 5-ARD.

Just to clarify. The IBC is not the 'Russian boxing federation'. And the results were also verified by the European Boxing Confederation.

What were the chances of the two boxers the IBA pointed out were male and therefore had an unfair and unsafe advantage over women going on to beat every single woman they fought and winning gold? Hell of a coincidence, isn't it?

If this was all just a Russian conspiracy for shits and giggles, why didn't Imane Khelif or Lin Yu-Ting appeal their disqualification from the Women’s World Boxing Championships in 2023?

Why would two independent laboratories (Sistem Tip Laboratory in Istanbul and Dr Lal PathLabs in New Delhi) collude with Russians and risk destroying their reputation by making something up that IK and LY-T could so easily prove was a lie?

RobinEllacotStrike · 04/11/2024 17:11

@headstone what you seem to be ignoring/missing is no one here cares if a woman looks like a man.

We are objecting to ACTUAL MEN competing in womens sports.

what about that can't you understand?

Where though? Please can I see a reliable source and I will take my words back.

Which 'reliable source' do you think will release this information when Khelif has denied all permission to do so?

This is Georges Cazorla releasing information that would indicate that this current report from the Greater Paris University Hospital endocrinologist Kremlin-Bicêtre is accurate. That a Paris based Endocrinologist stated there was unexpected chromosomes for a female person. AND that an Algerian doctor has been giving testosterone suppression treatment. (No female athlete ever requires testosterone suppression from naturally produced levels of testosterone )

https://reduxx.info/khelifs-coach-confirms-problem-with-chromosomes-as-spanish-national-boxing-team-commissioner-reveals-that-khelif-was-considered-too-dangerous-to-train-against-women/

https://archive.ph/MEBxM

There is plenty of information now given on this thread that shows how the IOC came to include male people with this DSD in female sports categories, the impacts on a male body of the medical condition for you to read if you choose.

I don't recall any of Khelif's team nor the IOC stating that Khelif had XX chromosomes and they had to change their published statement to be carefully worded about Khelif. They simply doubled down on 'Khelif has a passport that states Khelif is 'female'' which is absolutely consistent with the fact that Khelif was registered as a female in error and went through male puberty.

Even the source YOU posted cannot confirm female chromosomal sex at all. And yes, that is only part of the determination of categorising sex, but it is a significant one if a male has XY chromosomes and has a body with clear signs of virilisation which can be plainly seen (gait, q-angles, hip alignment, skeletal proportions etc).

It is purely up to you as to whether you believe that these sources are acurrate, however Georges Cazorla's account has not been denied to my recollection and the evidence given by Dr. Ioannis Filippatos (Surgeon, Sport Medicine Doctor, and Ob/Gyn Specialist) is also consistent with this account as well.

heathspeedwell · 04/11/2024 17:10

A few years ago, we were told that we women were 'upholding patriarchal beauty standards' for daring to say that Caster Semenya looks like a man. But actually men with 5 ARD have a similar look. Quite large shoulders, small hips, completely flat chests - faint five o clock shadow.

Imane Khelif and Lin Tu Ting both follow this pattern. Note how in Semenya's wedding photos his wife has her hand on his chest. Would she be cupping his breast in her official wedding photo if she genuinely thought he was a woman?

Similarly, Khelif's boxing coach carried him on his shoulders, with Khelif's bare legs touching his neck. He would ever have done that if he genuinely believed Khelif is a man.

imane khelif has been allegedly confirmed to be a man.

ChateauMargaux · 04/11/2024 17:09

@headstone ... the question over this athlete was not raised based on looks or behaviour.. it was raised because of information that this athlete failed a sex test in a previous competition. The IOC continued to state that this person was legally female and that this was enough to be permitted to compete based on the rules in force at the time.

Many other sports required entrants to the female competition to be biologically female, athletics, cycling and swimming.. to name a few. Other sports did not.. football and boxing.. and possibly other combat events.

The fact that the IOC directed journalists not to speculate on the sex or gender of competitors, hinted that there was something that was being hidden.

We don't know the full extend of the number of male competitors in the female competition, but we do know there were at least 4.

We know this because each of these 4 athletes has failed sex tests in other competitions... not because we think they don't fit gender stereotypes.. facts.. biology... and in some cases, interviews with the athletes themselves (football again).
