I’ll start.

That having a one syllable first name and surname is an absolute no no.

That my ex was abusive. That no matter how hard I tried to make him happy he was never going to treat me nicely. And that he wouldn't actually kill himself if I left him.

💐💕 hope you're in a better place now.

fruitbrewhaha · 02/11/2024 13:43

That people are fucking weird. I guess I kind of already knew but I’ve realised we are a strange bunch.

And I suppose hand in hand with that is how much people’s weirdness becomes a hassle
or struggle. For instance not answering the door if someone knocks. Or just small interactions or a massive issue for some.

Also how monstrously shit some people’s relationships are. There’s some fucking awful men out there.

SatinHeart · 02/11/2024 13:43

That my salary, which I had previously thought was Ok, is in fact rubbish.

Demonhunter · 02/11/2024 13:42

Also that any bad behaviour must be down to ND, and not the fact that some kids and adults are just arseholes!

Obligatory bumsex at Centre Parcs.

NEVER to Google Dragon Butter.

Or Space docking.

Hth Smile

Dragon butter? It's Welsh butter

Nothatgingerpirate · 02/11/2024 13:39

I'm probably lucky, because I didn't know there were so many shit men around.

There are loads of threads that come up regularly. Showering/personal hygiene for example. It’s quite good really, because if you miss one you know there will be another one along eventually.

Also, how often people change/don't change their bedding.

FieldInWhichFucksAreGrownIsBarren · 02/11/2024 13:38

Also that people don't answer the fucking door if they don't have anyone scheduled to visit... Always makes me think wtf.

Demonhunter · 02/11/2024 13:38

KimberleyClark · 02/11/2024 13:30

Honestly, it’s not that funny.

Don't make me pull the face Kimberley 😂

JaneJeffer · 02/11/2024 13:37

I have learned that if several people think something is funny I will be the one who gets given out to for thinking it was funny

CurlewKate · 02/11/2024 13:37

That people literally choked on their tea/spat their tea over their keyboard.

That giving someone a lift on a journey you were doing anyway at the time you were going to do it anyway is a favour on a par with donating a kidney.

That offering a cup of tea to an adult or a bowl of pasta to a child is "hosting" and onerous.

Katemax82 · 02/11/2024 13:37

That I'm the world's worst mum because I got my daughters ears pierced at Claire and I should have my kids removed by ss because I teach them to pronounce H as aitch

KimberleyClark · 02/11/2024 13:30

Honestly, it’s not that funny.

I really is 🤣🤣🤣

And for a fun lighthearted thread, you should lighten up 😉

MorrisZapp · 02/11/2024 13:34

That so many people are intensely private over health issues and consider any polite enquiry after their health to be rude and intrusive.

KimberleyClark · 02/11/2024 13:34

Demonhunter · 02/11/2024 13:32

That I could make this face so much, reading about how people become not just slightly irritated, but outraged over the silliest little things.

🤣

JaneJeffer · 02/11/2024 13:31

@KimberleyClark I burst out laughing. I thought it was hilarious 🤷🏻‍♀️

saveforthat · 02/11/2024 13:31

That every few months this thread would come up.

How judgemental people can be over seemingly insignificant things.

MauveCritic · 02/11/2024 13:29

Surely not if you spray them well with alcohol and allow them to drain? Edit: I'm new here, so maybe ignore this as it was in answer to toilet brushes.
