Neighbour - would you bother?

Ever since I moved into my house, my next door but one neighbours have been really aggressive about not parking in front of their house.

To keep the peace, I always try not to park in front of their house but we live opposite a primary school and sometimes I do if it's the only space.

Yesterday, I was parked half over their house and half over their neighbours house. The woman turned up to my house and was knocking on the living room window as I was WFH and on a teams call. She was being really aggressive and intimidating.

I'm so sick of feeling really intimidated and their entitlement and want to slip a little note through their door. Is this pointless? Angry people will be angry I guess but I feel like this shouldn't go unchallenged.

I currently in my workplace, have the rusty old body shell of a very rare minii

I could dump it there with a 'far superior to an S' sign

I know this thread is from last year, would love to know what happened

Celestiel · 22/06/2025 13:45

Post it on local facebook group and it might turn into a tourist spot with locals taking photos for a laugh!

Letsbe · 22/06/2025 13:39

Just praise the lord that you are above this petty nonsense she must have a sad life.

Coco1379 · 22/06/2025 00:12

Take no notice. The road doesn’t belong to her. Tell her if she repeats her behaviour you’ll report her to the police for harassment

Noshowlomo · 04/11/2024 21:46

Spray paint over that sign

ffsgloria · 04/11/2024 21:33

Oh my god the sign is hilarious! What a complete tw*t!

Verge · 04/11/2024 21:26

EmberAsh · 04/11/2024 17:52

Please send this picture to the council and hopefully she gets a fine for her creativity. Oh, and park your car there whilst you're at it.

This.
Twat.
Call 101 about her aggressiveness.

Update! Now outside the neighbours house. They are absolute imbeciles.

Wow! Who's going to do the clamping?

AutumnLeaves24 · 04/11/2024 21:20

Dottiemay · 04/11/2024 17:47

Ha exactly! My other neighbour said exactly the same

Just keep repeating 'it's a public highway, not your private driveway'.

Notellinganyone · 04/11/2024 21:15

This happened in our street with one guy who was abusive to everyone. I totally lost my shit with him and he has avoided me ever since. Sometimes you have to bite back,

wanttokickoffbutcant · 04/11/2024 21:01

Do you happen to have any googly eyes OP? To liven up the middle of the Coopers of her lovely sign......

With the above suggestion of changing Coopers to Poopers with a Sharpie I think you are away......

Havalona · 04/11/2024 20:41

I'm baffled at the "lesser cars" instruction. I presume Jaguars and Rollers would be ok there then! What an idiot.

Lesser cars indeed. WTAF?

121Diet · 04/11/2024 20:40

Police

Treetops719 · 04/11/2024 20:37

To counter most of the posts on this thread I have a degree of sympathy with the neighbour albeit not sure they are going about things the right way.

We live in a road where most households have 2 cars but only 1 driveway space. There is an unwritten rule that everyone has ownership of the space outside their own house. Obviously there is not legal status to this but it doesn’t half make life easier for everyone. You do need a road with settled residents for it to work. I think in the dozen or so houses where we work to this rule everyone has lived there for at least 10 years so easier to maintain.

AyrshireTryer · 04/11/2024 20:29

Pop a little poo in a box and post it.
Never done that, honest.

stargazerlil · 04/11/2024 20:26

Being harassed by your neighbour is illegal, park where you want and next time they confront you call the police, the police will talk to them and they will make them take that sign down as the sign is misleading and illegal.

HappiestSleeping · 04/11/2024 20:26

On the assumption that they have a half series BMW and not a proper Mini Cooper there aren't really any lesser cars, so you can pretty much park what you like there @Dottiemay

roadrager · 04/11/2024 20:25

I'd park there every day

And get cctv if you dont already have it

Fucking arseholes

YellowAsteroid · 04/11/2024 20:23

Is there an option simply to ignore your neighbour? She can’t force you to speak to her.

if you’re parked legally, then that is that.

Blaggoshpereish · 04/11/2024 20:23

My old neighborhood had one of these awful people, near a school as well. She used to put orange cones in front of her house. She thought that space was hers, all day.
If I couldn’t find a space, I parked & moved her cones (clearly stolen from “Highways” as marked. And one Halloween we stole them and dumped them at town hall).

Always certain she would get me back one day with a scratch or flat tire ….
All drivers in the area struggled with same issue & most people did not park in front of their houses. She was just a c-word.

Her house previously had a drive and garage, she converted the garage to living space, and driveway to garden.

rainbowstardrops · 04/11/2024 20:22

Hahahaha! That sign would make me purposely try to park there! 🤣

Blaggoshpereish · 04/11/2024 20:15

Dottiemay · 04/11/2024 17:43

Update! Now outside the neighbours house. They are absolute imbeciles.

With my sharpie changing it to Mini Pooper …

Just don’t block their drive!

Have you read the thread?? They don't have a drive

Iwantabrightsunnyday · 04/11/2024 19:58

Put a gate on your front garden and park a little way away
