Mario Kart

I refuse to let my kids win at Mario Kart. If they win legitimately, I'm really pleased for them. But no way will I slow down to let them pass. I'll protect you from the hard parts of life as long as I can kid, but if you're in front of me on the last corner and I have a red shell, you're going down.

I trained for 30 years. Now they must train also.

I know from being the child that always lost, it is so much sweeter when you win for the first time Grin

I praise and encourage to keep it fun for them but I am not letting anyone win Grin

Beware instilling this competitive nature in your children. Mine are teenagers now and I never win 😂

Oh yes. No mercy. They're still better than me 😭. But at least they know they are genuinely better.

On a related note, does anyone besides me really hate the Rainbow Road circuit? I always fall off.

We Allow the aids when young to level up the field a bit. Now DS2 is 8 I have been heard to lightly use the word ‘cheating’ when he has the redirection assist on for Rainbow Road.

Me and my brother also don't let his kids win. We are both very competitive. I'm sure the words "we don't breed losers in this family" have come out my mouth while playing Mario cart 😂

I'm like this with Sonic 😂Echo your point about training completely. Has to be some points in life where you say 'hey, I've put 30 years into these skills...wouldn't say much about me if I got bested by a 5 year old on his 3rd try!'
