Hi Munchyseeds2.
Hows your weekend been so far?
I didn’t get any sleep last night , it got to 7am and I just gave up and did some crafts instead. I made a birthday card .
That yoga exercise looks very interesting, I will try and give it a go. Thank you 🙏
I’m not feeling as positive today and miss my children more than I thought possible but I am hanging on to hope . Hoping that I will get a house soon and be with them again.
Thank you for complimenting my crafting it was my first time doing that kid of craft but I found it quite relaxing just sticking things on a page really lol 😂
The weather is lovely here too , I love this time of year with the weather and the trees some leaves xx

I’m so sorry I’m late with hugs for today! I was up most of g the night being ill, and couldn’t wake up this morning. I truly hope you were able to get some sleep, and that today is going okay, whatever ups and downs it may bring.

Remember that we are here for you and proud of you!

Munchyseeds2 · 27/10/2024 10:28

Morning lovely
I so hope that you managed to relax and get a little sleep last night....my daughter and I have been talking about mind/muscle conne tion this morning, long story but there is an exercise they do at the end of a yoga class where you really empty your mind and then starting with you feet, really concentrate on tensing each tiny muscle group, working up the body....she says even down to tensing you eyebrows without frowning (😂)
By the end of it you are so relaxed you want to sleep - might be worth a go??

Your crafting is beautiful, I so wish I was good at that sort of thing (I'm not!).
I do have some of the adult colouring books tho!

I hope the weather is lovely where you are, we have blue sky and that always makes me feel better
I wish another good day for you today and the 💪 to get past the next bit ....hopefully to a house you can make into a warm and cosy home for you and the kids

YOU CAN DO IT XX

That’s lovely! This thread is such a wonderful collection of positive thoughts now; I’m sure it helps us as much as you!

Your collages are lovely! I’m so glad you used butterflies - I was thinking yesterday about how they remind me of you - their wings are beautiful but can be easily damaged. Yet even if they lose a huge portion of them they can still carry on. You are beautiful, have been hurt, and will carry on too.

Sorry here it is xx

Your craft is so pretty. Love the Hello Life note. It’s good to hear you sounding brighter but as a previous poster said, recovery is not linear so don’t put pressure on yourself.

Thanks for asking about hobby. I’m re-learning to horse ride. I’m not very good and still nervous but it helps my mental health to really have to focus on something in the moment, with no distractions and to feel as though I’m learning. There are some lovely people at the stables so it’s a nice place to be.

Thank you Ruralretreating 🙏
I know, I’m trying not to put pressure on myself , I know some bad days will come.
Oh wow horse riding , that sounds amazing. I’ve always been impressed at people who can ride horses . I’m sure you’re better than you say you are. You’re definitely right about helping your mental health , they actually reduce depression by 30% and lowers the chance of dementia by 30% too. I’m glad you’ve met some lovely people , I bet they think your lovely too xx

@Imbluedalale I love the collage pages you have done. Craft can be so therapeutic. Many of the people in my Facebook craft groups say how crafting has literally saved their life at times when life is giving them a hard time. They just lose themselves in it when they get busy with it. 💐

Thank you AdmittowearingCrocs.
Im new to this scrap art but your right you do lose yourself in it and it felt nice just to have something else to concentrate on for abit.
Theres 3 of us residents here at the moment . The man resident I think has had a bad day bless him and the girl resident who came yesterday has been upset today as 3 thugs smashed her car up at home . She’s got a doorbell camera on her phone and she’s got a video of it and showed me . My gosh they was viscous smashing up her car with baseball bats . I said to her it’s not nice it’s awful and I can imagine how she feels but it can be replaced and you can’t be so focus on trying to get better and your insurance will sort it out xx

Oh that is fantastic! The non-arsenic cakes! In biscuit news, when I got home from work the other day (that day when I'd already eaten at work), I ate all the biscuits in the house. Sadly that was only two custard creams, but the intent was there! 😁Since then I've had some weird shortbready / crumbly things with chocolate on. Not my favourite to be honest, but I'm never going to say no to a biscuit! I hope you have had some good food too, and that tonight you get a good restful sleep!

Hi ChoccieCornflake.
How’s your evening been?
I’m glad you managed to have some biscuits even if it was only 2. I’ve had 2 chocolate cookies with my cup of tea this evening and I had some cheese on toast earlier .
Well guess what…..
Ive been in the craft room this evening , I’ve just finished . I will add my artwork let me know what you think xx

You bring a smile to me many times every day on this thread!

I enjoy words, something I definitely get from my mum! Ever since I first heard it I’ve loved the American State-name Albuquerque :D

Awww TealPoet…
Im so glad I have brought a smile to your face , I’m smiling reading that .
I love that word I’ve never heard of that before!
I like words too but sometimes for some reason I mix words up to something completely random and that doesn’t make sense to the original word. When I worked at the bank it was one of my colleagues birthday so ok the way to work I went into the local cake shop and asked for a box of 10 mixed cakes. The lady asked me if I had any preference or wanted anything in particular. I just said ‘I don’t like arsenic’ and she smiled and boxed up the cakes for me. When I got to work I gave the colleague her cakes and she went ‘ohh lovely, what cakes are these’ so I said ‘I made sure not to get any with arsenic in’ and they all started laughing . Turns out I meant marzipan! Xx

You’re so caring and you’re doing so well! I’m so sorry about the lack of good sleep - it’s such a pain when you need it so badly for your physical and mental wellbeing!

I’m ok today - just a lot of social contact, all of which was lovely, but which I find exhausting - I’m such an introvert!

Of course you’re concerned about what’s next, but you WILL be ok and we’ll be here for you. Definitely order what you can and let us know any ways we can support you. You’re right that it’s best for your children not to be in that situation, and hopefully you will soon get a home of your own and can get that wooden spoon in pride of place :)

Hi TealPoet.
I’m so glad you’re feeling better today , I hope you manage to rest well tonight.
Well my Ocado delivery arrived and the man resident was chuffed with his mince pies so I’ve at least made somebody smile today if nothing else.
Im just going to have a cup of tea with some M&S cookies 🍪
I love that word ‘introvert’ it’s one of my favourite words I don’t know why along with ‘baffled’.
Thank you so much for being there for me it means the world and more….xx

That's lovely that you had a long chat with another resident @Imbluedalaleand buying biscuits and mince pies 😍. It sounds so positive. Sorry you didn't sleep well last night, hope you can get a good sleep tonight.

Hope you manage to find a film to watch. I watched Canary Black last night on Prime if you have access to it - Kate Beckinsale (looking about 28!) as a CIA agent with lots of action. Depends on what films you like but definitely no sad/emotional romantic or kid stuff in it at least!

I think focusing on the here and now sounds a good plan. You've got a small army of black tulip smelling MNers (that autocorrected to "miners"!) rooting for you and not going anywhere no matter where you are Flowers. I'm hoping to nip to M&S tomorrow and have a smell of it.

Hi RaspberryBeretxx.
Hows your weekend going?
I haven't been able to pick my prescription up yet , the staff are not allowed to leave the premises so I though I could get an Uber to pick it up for me but I don’t think you can but hopefully I can get it collected on Monday.
I havnt watched tv yet but I’m going to soon , that film sounds really good , Kate Beckinsale is absolutely stunning isn’t she?
Your so right about trying to focus on the here and now , I find it hard to tbh I always worry about what’s going to happen next but I need to definitely try and focus on right now. Everything else is out of my hands at the minute so I will try my hardest to do that. Thank you
Ohhhh I love a trip to M&S especially a big one . I hope you find the perfume as it smells Devine. I’ve actually got mine on today and the 2 residents and the staff have complimented me on it. It has 5 star reviews on it everywhere too. When I get a house I’m going to treat myself to the shower gel xx

Hi @Imbluedalale , sorry to hear you didn’t sleep well last night. Hopefully once you get your sleeping tablets things will improve.
If you are worried about going back to the hotel can you treat yourself to a new inexpensive set of headphones and an adult colouring book and pencils from Amazon to keep your mind occupied while there? It might help keep you from spiralling downwards again. You have made so much progress lately and should be so proud of yourself, and you are always so kind to others. Time to be kind to yourself. 🌺

Hi AdmittowearingCrocs.
I hope your having a nice day?
I haven't done much today spent afternoon sat in the kitchen with one of the councillors talking which was nice. And I’ve had a nice shower today too and actually put real clothes on instead of being in my pj’s every day . It’s actually only a hoody and jeans but it’s a start.
Yes that’s a very good idea about ordering some new headphones and a colouring book , once I know what’s happening on Monday I will order them and get them delivered to where I’ll be. Thank you 🙏 xx
