Dh changes around full moon

I realise this may sound crazy, but I’ve noticed a change in Dh just before a full moon…no he doesn’t change into a wolf 😁
In all seriousness though, he becomes different, quite angry and mean and a bit out of it really

He is manstrating

whiteboardking · 18/10/2024 00:15

Ask any teacher ..

Ozanj · 18/10/2024 00:13

It’s more likely that he suffers from some kind of cyclic / manic depression. Or something happens once a month that makes him lose his rag.

mumda · 18/10/2024 00:09

Did I imagine reading something about crime rates going up during a full moon?
It's probably easier to burgle without being seen when the moon isn't full.

SurelySmartie · 17/10/2024 23:45

no he doesn’t change into a wolf anymore

CheezePleeze · 17/10/2024 23:42

Parkmybentley · 17/10/2024 23:11

Yup violent crime goes up around full moon.

Reports are so mixed, I don't think there's ever been any real evidence, has there?

DucktailsWoohoo · 17/10/2024 23:28

Hmm. I laughed at the title but then just thought about it and DH has been an arse tonight.

This made me laugh

Piffle11 · 17/10/2024 23:39

My son has autism and he starts acting manically when there’s a full moon. Happy, but bonkers.

Theoldwrinkley · 17/10/2024 23:37

A radio 4 prog some years ago was citing evidence by observation that people (in general) change. More babies born, I think. More police cells occupied. That's why people with mental health issues were classed as 'lunatic' (lunar=moon).

discoballdave · 17/10/2024 23:33

Yep. Ask anyone who works in a bar, the police, NHS etc and they'll tell you when a full moon hits before they know there is one.

XenoBitch · 17/10/2024 23:32

The word luna is about the moon, and the term lunatic is derived from that.
Stands to reason that things can end up a bit spicy when there is a full moon.

EmeraldRoulette · 17/10/2024 23:32

Yes

when I had a public facing role, I could tell it was full moon on account of customer behaviour.

Cantgetausername87 · 17/10/2024 23:31

Isn't it where the term "lunatic" comes from or is that something completely made up I've believed for years?!

ParliamentofBadgers · 17/10/2024 23:30

Don’t more women go into labour when it’s a full moon? Or is it during a storm? I can’t remember.

Parkmybentley · 17/10/2024 23:11

Yup violent crime goes up around full moon.

Surely because it's a lot lighter. Me and DH went outside to look at the moon earlier and it is super duper bright tonight. Making all the starts twinkle!

DucktailsWoohoo · 17/10/2024 23:28

Hmm. I laughed at the title but then just thought about it and DH has been an arse tonight.

LastNight1Dreamt1WentToManderleyAgain · 17/10/2024 23:27

Yes, my best friend is like this.

TashaTudor · 17/10/2024 23:12

Apparently there's a theory that the moon effects water (oceans etc) and as we're mainly water it effects us to varying degrees.

ItReallyWasAgathaAllAlong · 17/10/2024 23:12

My job involves dealing with people constantly. I’m not into “woo” stuff but the craziness definitely comes out in force at full moon time. It’s like people are itching for arguments over minor things.

allthemiddlechildrenoftheworld · 17/10/2024 23:08

@Wouldhateaspaday we used to always get a lot of overdoses into a/e when there was a full moon!

hardtocare · 17/10/2024 23:07

I once worked on reception at a hotel. Could always tell it was full moon without looking out of the window based on the guests

Wouldhateaspaday · 17/10/2024 22:38

@CheezePleeze Not absolutely wonderful, but def switch
