'Ever After' with a young Drew Barrymore.

The most underrated movie ever. It's beautiful, I LOVE IT.

Local Hero
the Paddingtons - I’ve got people in my life who won’t watch them because “they’re for kids”. They don’t know what they’re missing.

Skyfall, try it even if you don't watch Bond films.

BlueSkiesFromPain · 15/10/2024 21:21

When I’m feeling down I always put on a Jane Austen movie, usually P&P with Kiera Knightly and Rosamund Pike.

OVienna · 15/10/2024 21:19

It was P&P 1995 AND the Kiera Knightly one. But I've gone off the historical dramas and am at sea. So looking for recs too!

High Fidelity. I know every word and still love it so much. Sometimes I just play a bit in my head for the comfort when I don't have a DVD player to hand.

Also Con Air or Die Hard if in that sort of mood.

Or Little Women, the Winona Ryder one

Agreed, though I prefer the Greta Gerwig little women
