Or at least I think so.

I found this image on DH's pc when using it, and I'm not sure if this is some sort of tiktok trend or meme, so I've attached the image (click at your own risk, this is a risque drawing of a bolshevik in a crop top and mini skirt).

Hopefully this is fine to post.

The changing of the guard outside the tomb was more impressive than what was in it. They don't do it any more but OP's husband probably has old videos of it.

We once had souree to raise funds for our erm activities, a comrade had been to Russia and bought a vinyl record of Lenin speaking, none of us spoke Russian and his voice was very squeaky.

so we abandoned that idea, and had a brilliant game of monopoly and accused each other of being capitalists,

those were the days

I miss the old Trades Council battles between the Tankies and the Trots.
In hindsight, zero fucks given by the rest of the population.
But everyone took it so seriously.

Bannedontherun · 07/10/2024 23:37

dapsnotplimsolls · 07/10/2024 23:29

FoxTrot surely?

I would have but Ginger has the dress on Mondays……..so it was a comedy tap in overalls and wellies, well I was in those, Fred wore his tails. You have to admire his refusal to compromise, though I fear it could cost him dear if our leader thinks he has the better figure for a bit of natty tailoring.

It’s a play on Karl Marx's famous phrase "the means of production," which refers to the resources (factories, land, tools, etc.) used to produce goods in a capitalist economy. In Marxist theory, whoever controls the means of production has power and wealth.

The joke implies that in the digital age, control over memes (and by extension, online culture and influence) could be seen as a new form of power, much like control over physical production was in Marx's time.

Sooooo, the joke is that the internet's humour and viral trends (the "memes") are the new battleground for influence and control in modern society, with a nod to the original socialist economic theory.

Or am I over thinking it and just need to get to bed?? 😴

And here's me thinking it was just a clever pun.

Can someone explain the memes of production joke for the idiots like me? I feel I'm missing out.

In a Communist state , the state owns and controls "the means of production" i.e the factories, coal mines, farms etc that produce things are owned by the state, not private owners.

Popebendydick · 07/10/2024 23:31

I wouldn’t call that porn 🤣🤣🤣 why would that be your first thought. Maybe you could dress up for him and do a rerun of friends Monica, chandler and the sharks 🤣

I've always had a thing for Lenin to be honest. He was (is) hot as hell. He's still there in his mausoleum looking quite life-like.
I know a bloke who looks the image of Lenin, sometimes I have to sit next to him at a hobby group and I have a job controlling myself.

However, this image of Lenin has ruined all of that forever. I'll never be able to get it out of my head now.

Just think Master Lenin , oh master Lenin

Good Lord. When you think you’ve heard everything, someone trot(sky)s in to say they’ve got the hots for Lenin, of all people.

Bannedontherun · 07/10/2024 23:21

Now now no arguing. Was a proper full on trot as we used to call ourselves, ooo just realised the irony ffs
