Would love an update on this.

How did he take it when you left?

I hope she has got out

LadyLaetita · 24/04/2025 04:31

Is there any update? Are you still OK?

notatinydancer · 20/04/2025 13:31

@Everythingwillbeokkhope all is going well.

SparklyPearlGoose · 19/04/2025 07:54

Yup, saw that from the start too. If she had wanted to leave, she would have left and not sat around doing things for the house, his kids, talk to him about 3-4 pages of lists of issues.

she wanted him to pull her back in and he would have and she just didn’t have the guts to stand up for her kids and herself. That is just so sad, and such a poor role model for her kids…

Deloresmonroe · 04/01/2025 19:25

She probably stayed with him 😞

Yep I saw that coming from the start though

Of course she did.
She won't be back to update with that information.

@Everythingwillbeokk

I think several of us would like to know / be assured that all was/is ok...

LondonUSAGirl · 03/01/2025 14:58

I hope the move went well and that you are getting on with your life?
Would love to know how he handled it when he found out you were leaving?

ThatsCute · 14/11/2024 13:07

OP, are you safely out? x

2Rebecca · 11/11/2024 09:16

I think it's sensible not to become personally drawn in to threads. The OP may be genuine but a lot of threads where people are posting wanting to know what happened next are later found to be fictitious. I think it's best to just leave a thread to fizzle out.

ILikeItWhatIsIt · 10/11/2024 10:22

I think if he'd got wind of it, the thread would have been deleted now.

Yes, but my point was, doing a welfare check might draw attention and cause him to become aware of it, for all we know.

OlderGlaswegianLivingInDevon · 10/11/2024 12:17

He may have got wind of her leaving / having found a new home, but I do not think the Op has come to any serious harm as she had alerted friends to her decision to leave him and had made arrangements that evening when they were going to sit down and have a talk.

I would hope/suspect/expect that these friends were in touch with the Op and that the Op was in touch with them. I believe the Op's mother is also aware as there was mention of the Op and children moving in if needed in a hurry ?

Teanbiscuits33 · 09/11/2024 23:34

But that would be considered very dangerous if she was in danger of harm and her other half got wind she had wrote about him all over an Internet forum, that’s the problem.

This is where I think mumsnet should be entitled to a duty of care to follow up things like this somehow, I’m sure OP is fine but if she wasn’t no one may be helping her or aware. I know it may be an invasion of privacy but there must be so many mumsnetters needing help and not able to ask for it. I hope she’ll let us know soon.

aw I am really hoping to hear it all went ok, too. ?@Everythingwillbeokk

I didn't think the op wasn't genuine, tho she was accused of it earlier in this thread so I am hoping she is just busy and maybe the house wasn't ready/available for 1st Nov ?
and of course she doesn't have her children every other weekend so may have chosen not to move in right away ?

Out of all of the threads on here, this is the one where I wish I knew the OP had moved on and was fine.
Not demanding an answer, by the way.
But isn’t strange how we get drawn into to a particular life story, and cheer on the OP, and then have no idea of the outcome.
I hope OP is fine and moved on.

Absolutely this. I am checking daily for updates.

I am completely aware that the OP owes us nothing & I hope that she’s in her new place & too busy settling in to think about posting here.

But still, I’d love to know she’s ok.

Hopefully she has moved house now and maybe doesn’t have internet access yet 🤞

Deb13b · 04/11/2024 15:48

I wonder if OP is OK.
