All the coverage of the bbc paedophile focuses on him, which I understand to an extent.

I don't expect us to be told who the abused children are, of course not.

But do the police and social services know who they are? Have they been tracked down and appropriate arrests made? Have measures been taken to protect them?

I haven't seen anything about the children on the coverage, and a google search doesn't really come up with anything, it just all goes back to articles about him.

Do we even know if they have been identified and looked after? He's hardly even had a slap on the wrist for his crimes, yet the life sentence for the abused children is just beginning.

Simple - non of what you are describing above is published or reported on because there are legal restrictions in place to protect the children and their families. This includes action taken by social services etc. as this could also out the identity of the child or lead to wild speculation on line / incorrect naming etc. Any reporter / individual making any comment in the news / on social media which could in anyway identify the child / their family ( even indirectly) will be subject to legal action themselves including fines / jail.

I imagine the information given to the media is carefully thought out. Why do you need to know what's happened to the children? Is it not enough for you to assume the police are doing/have done what they can to locate and identify them

I really don’t think you should be googling that - leave it to the authorities they will never put out anything about ongoing investigations.
