Did you know who Cat Deeley was before she joined This Morning?

When Cat Deeley became presenter of This Morning earlier this year I had not heard of her before, some of my friends are surprised that I did not know who she was. (We are all in our 40's by the way) I knew who Holly Willoughby was though.

Am I weird in never having heard of her before?

Did you not watch SMTV?

BananaSpanner · 16/09/2024 17:35

Just seen you’re in your 40s. Am really surprised you’ve never heard of her.

Redcrayons · 16/09/2024 17:34

From SMTV.
im sure she was in other things but I can’t remember them. She’d probably have had all Holly willoughby’s jobs if she hadn’t gone to America to make it big.

MamaGarl85 · 16/09/2024 17:33

I would have thought she was fairly well known!

BananaSpanner · 16/09/2024 17:33

Yes, she was on SMTv and then went on to do quite well in the states. She was very famous in the uk in the early 00s I think. I am surprised you’ve never heard of her but I guess it depends what age you are.

I loved smtv too!

NeverDropYourMooncup · 16/09/2024 17:32

Only in passing, as I preferred to avoid the disgusting comments made by some males I am thankfully no longer in contact with regarding the outfits she'd wear on Saturday morning TV.

OneTC · 16/09/2024 17:32

Yeah used to love her in smtv days, she went low profile for a while, think she moved to America or something

TulipTuesday · 16/09/2024 17:32

I knew her from SMTV live.
Even though I was a bit older than the demographic probably, I loved that show.

loropianalover · 16/09/2024 17:31

I vaguely remember her on Stars in their Eyes.

When I was a young teen I had a magazine cut out pic of her blu tacked inside my wardrobe in hopes of taking on her body shape via some sort of subliminal osmosis! Her and about 30 others.
