Mine is a lyric from a Julien Baker song, and about setting personal boundaries in place.

whats yours? Grin

Fairly self explanatory. Minor amount of food on an item of cutlery - wipe with kitchen roll. Spillage anywhere - kitchen roll. Made poached eggs - lay them on a kitchen roll and dab with another kitchen roll before putting on the toast to get rid of the excess water. Sauce left on plate after eating - wipe with kitchen roll before washing. Cooked bacon - dab with kitchen roll to remove fat. I don't really have tissues in the house as if I need to blow my nose, you guessed it.

FATMAN SCOOP! CROOKLYN CLAN!

If you know, you know.

(If you don’t - it’s a lyric from the song Be Faithul by Fatman Scoop (RIP). It was played on every night out when I was a fresher at uni.)

GivingitToGod · 18/09/2024 22:36

Long term nightmare situation that hasn't got better, despite my hoping and praying. Invades every part of my mind In order to maintain a level of sanity, I've had to 'Give it to God', beyond human intervention at this point (although I keep a glimmer of hope in my heart).

gretathegremlin · 18/09/2024 22:27

She's the epitome of glamour.

pelagra · 18/09/2024 21:56

HeliotropePJs · 16/09/2024 05:45

Mine is a reference to something written by P.G. Wodehouse, one of my favourites.

Same!

Mine is inspired by Florence’s little brother Edwin and his Boy Scout acts of kindness (such as burning down Bertie’s cottage rental when trying to clean the fireplace).

SodaFountainMountain · 18/09/2024 21:04

I name change regularly and mostly use what I can see or, as in this one, a phrase that pops up on TV. Boring.

wetpebbles · 18/09/2024 21:03

XenoBitch · 18/09/2024 21:01

The film Aliens.
'Xeno' is short for Xenomorph, and 'Bitch' from Sigourney Weaver's line in Aliens - "Get away from her, you BITCH!".

But on MN, I was accused of being xenophobic because I don't have a passport... on account of my name. And a few times people focus on the 'Bitch' part and say I must be one in real life. Nice.
