Would you have sex-missionary with someone if offered money

If so, how much would it have to be?

Discussion at work quite a few years ago, inspired by the Demi Moore film. I was younger and had more money than now. If someone asked you to sleep with them for x amount of money-say half a million, would you? Missionary only, over quickly
I was aghast and said no, most said of course they would.

Now, I think I feel differently

Would you?

Think I'd rather do reverse cowgirl so I wouldn't have to look at him 😅

Like if I didn't find him attractive, I wouldn't want him ontop of me in missionary.

I'm over 50 and don't currently have a partner ... a tenner would do, hell I'd probably pay him! 😆

I’m 52 and I hear you sister!!

No need to feel sad for me, I'd be over the moon.

Alias, so far 38% of posters who clicked on YABU to consider it feel the same.

I was propositioned in a bar in Barbados. I was sitting quietly with my DH & dressed quite conservatively. A man who was obviously very rich and there with a crowd of women who looked like film stars approached my husband and said take your pick if I can have your wife for one night. This wasn't an offer of money but I'm sure by the way he was acting so insistent it could have been. At that moment I knew no amount of money would have persuaded me to go back to his villa for sex so my answer would have to be no.

Bloatstoat · 14/09/2024 17:43

I can remember watching the Demi Moore film years ago with my mum and sister, DS and I were both idealistic late teens early twenties who said definitely not, would never have sex for money, while my mother late 40s said that as a one off for £1m she absolutely would.

Now I'm her age, older and much more cynical, provided I could do so safely I absolutely agree with her and my answer would be yes. I can't imagine anyone offering any sort of money for me though, so I can't think I will ever be troubled by having to make this decision in real life.

This feels sad, people saying you'd sell sexual services for money now you have experience of life. If only your ordinary jobs didn't leave you so disillusioned! My answer at a 18 is never, I hope it's not different at 40.

No need to feel sad for me, I'd be over the moon.

Ok doesn’t have to be missionary to those asking, but isn’t that the easiest, less worst option?! Get very drunk, close eyes, think of the money 😬

For that amout of money I'd put on a great show in the hope of regular business.Grin

There is such a thing as love at first sight. There are happy marriages which support this so I don't see it as an impossibility

@Everycloudect

That's not 'love'. It's lust, attraction, chemicals etc at first sight. You don't love someone, unless you've given birth to them, at first sight. Love grows, it can develop quickly, if you spend a lot of time together, or slowly. But not at 'first sight'.

It’s not going to be love at first sight with someone who views you as a commodity, is it?

There is no such thing as love at first sight. You cannot love someone that you don't truly know.

If it was the opposite of unpleasant & you both fell head over heels in love with each other then subsequently devastated a happy family life with your husband and children. Is it still worth it in this scenario?

@Everycloudect

Who falls in love with someone after a quick transactional shag?

Nobody in a million years would put this offer on the table to me. But if they did, I probably physically couldn't do it if there was no attraction. So it wouldn't happen. Women don't have that problem, it seems from this thead.

Yep, I would. If he looked like Robert Redford, all the better!

Memories of when the film was out. We were in the middle of an Ofsted, lunchtime, raining, a few of my year 11 form were using the classroom to eat their lunch, one asked me Miss, would you sleep with Robert Redford for a million dollars?! My reply was Where would I find a million dollars?!. Cue coughing and sputtering from another area out of sight, one of the inspectors was choking laughing on her lunch!

Cobblersorchard · 12/09/2024 23:43

Yes I would, absolutely. I’ve done far worse in my youth!
I’d probably do it for £50k I reckon, £500k and I’d do a whole football team.

Alas I’m fairly sure absolutely no-one would pay £5 these days.

Agree 💯 !!
sadly 🤣🤣

They would if they valued their health.

Very true. Huge risks, especially thesedays.
Imagine paying a million for and std

BIossomtoes · 14/09/2024 12:13

Honest00lad · 14/09/2024 11:43

You think someone who has paid half a million or whatever would use a condom?

They would if they valued their health.

MsLavender · 14/09/2024 11:45

They could be tested before hand to prove a clean bill of health before intercourse takes place.

This would be a non negotiable
As would having a shower first
And having someone outside the door just in case.
And definitely not missionary...doggy would be more suitable. I wouldn't want them breathing on me, looking at my face or sweating on me.

😲 got to think of the health implications. It's a massive risk. Health is wealth.

I’m a 47 yo woman whose husband hasn’t come near her in nearly 8 years. I would probably pay them lol
