Would you have sex-missionary with someone if offered money

Snoringfamily · 12/09/2024 23:34

If so, how much would it have to be?

Discussion at work quite a few years ago, inspired by the Demi Moore film. I was younger and had more money than now. If someone asked you to sleep with them for x amount of money-say half a million, would you? Missionary only, over quickly
I was aghast and said no, most said of course they would.

Now, I think I feel differently

Would you?

I'm sure some do but you speak as though it's a certainty. I can easily separate physical sex from any sort of personal feelings and if by doing this I cleared my mortgage and had savings for my kids I absolutely would. And I'd happily justify it to anyone who cared to ask. The only way it's "shameful" is if you think sex for a woman is somehow bad unless she has a ring on her finger.

I don’t think you need a ring on your finger but I always need to feel cared for and respected, I’ve never had a one night stand. I wish I could separate the two but I can’t

I've read a few of the responses here and will probably catch up with the rest which are featured in the Daily Mail, one day next week!

How is this discussion related to the Daily Mail?

For 500k? Yes for sure.
I'm not sure what my limit would be..
I've got 100k left on the mortgage so maybe that as it would be life changing...
But to be really honest with you anything over 10k I'd have to seriously consider..
I think it might be the end of my marriage if I did that... so it's also would I end my marriage for that money?
Things aren't great at the moment and actually if it weren't for the mortgage I might have left by now anyway..
So definitely 100k

Thank u for being honest

I’ve had sex I’ve regretted for free. May as well have gotten paid.

Well quite, I can look back at some very banal, free sex and wonder why I bothered. For a million quid I would put on quite a show and maybe even take my vest off.

Goodtogossip · 16/09/2024 13:44

Depends on who it was with. Seriously though, if you enjoy sex & didn't feel you would regret it why not. Not sure I could but wouldn't say it's a definite no.

most would do it for free these days. My hubby said he would for 1/2 mill 🤣

This reminds me of when DH (then DP) and I watched the original 'Indecent Proposal' and he freely admitted that he would happily shag Robert Redford for a million quid.

I love his pragmatic attitude.

I'm over 50 and don't currently have a partner ... a tenner would do, hell I'd probably pay him! 😆

🤣😂

Cobblersorchard · 12/09/2024 23:43

Yes I would, absolutely. I’ve done far worse in my youth!
I’d probably do it for £50k I reckon, £500k and I’d do a whole football team.

Alas I’m fairly sure absolutely no-one would pay £5 these days.

ThrillhouseVanHouten · 16/09/2024 10:08

Enough to buy a lovely house outright, for 2 minutes of non-work?

Of course.

fortheveryfirsttime · 16/09/2024 10:06

Absolutely I would and would be ok with my partner doing it purely for the cash too. I suspect he wouldn't though.

Half a million buys us a house and some treats so life changing for us.

Becgoz7 · 16/09/2024 10:01

Sceptical123 · 14/09/2024 18:37

Would you be ok with your husband doing it with another woman for the same amount?

It’s an interesting dilemma 🤔

Yes, 100% if it was enough to make us comfortable/ buy a house.

No multi millionaire is going to offer a 45+ woman half a million pounds to sleep with them, when you could just go on tinder and get it for free. That being said if I was single, I'd do it for 1k and be happy. If in a serious relationship half a million.

Vomits

There is definitely an amount I would say “yes” to but it would be a lot more than half a million.

I would have to be able to never work again off the back of it.

I wouldn’t for any amount of money, the thought turns my stomach. I’m not judging anyone else, live and let live, just for me personally I feel repulsed even thinking about it.

Me too. I really couldn't sell my body, although admittedly I sell my brain every day

You might have had a 'strong feeling' but in reality no one was going to inject you with ketamine and kidnap you. Dramatic much?

The red light district was around the corner, he could have got any pretty young experienced sex worker for a lot less than they were offering me very quickly and easily, the sex workers were on the street corners and perfectly visible from where we were. So why stand near a night club with 10 times more money and then some than one of the sex workers would have asked for?

As for being "dramatic much" ... if it keeps me from being naive and overly trusting and prevents me being attacked then yes, fine I'll happily go along with my fertile imagination.

Of course everyone else is free to do what they want but trusting instincts is generaly thought a good thing. And yes people are stuck with needles, raped and forced into prostitution even in the olden days like when I was a student.

MarkingBad · 15/09/2024 17:08

Having been one of the ones joking about it I have been offered money for sex before when I was a much younger woman, a handful of times which I always turned down.

One was when I was a student. I was running late and had told friends I'd meet them in the club, it was around the corner of the red light district of the city at the time. I walked past 4 men when the older one said something and another man said his uncle asked if I would have sex with him and held out a huge roll of £20s, there must have been several hundred quid there. I carried on walking and said No, I'm not a prossie and people are waiting for me. The younger in the group stood in front of me said his uncle really liked me and only wanted a short time with me and held out another huge roll of 20s. I kept walking (and I stride along so he was basically running backwards) and repeated that people were waiting for me and would come looking for me. I shouldered him out of the way, as a manual worker I was a lot stronger than I looked.

I had a strong feeling that had I stopped to speak to them one of the men would stick me with a syringe full of ket or heroin and the next time I woke up would be in an overseas brothel.

So my joking comes with a caveat that while I would consider it, it would have to be more in the indecent proposal style where I had a choice rather than some random bloke and his "nephews" on the street at night acosting young women going clubbing.

I really, really love the “I’d do it for a fiver/crème egg/I’d do a whole football team comments 😆 but in all seriousness, I’m married and not living in poverty so I wouldn’t do it. It would ruin my life. I don’t need the money to keep my children alive and safe so using the money to buy things I don’t need would make me feel awful. A new kitchen, a Porsche, a holiday so I can feel totally violated? And we enjoy these things as a family and everything is fine? Nope.

Scammersarescum · 15/09/2024 17:05

Definitely not. Even if I was on the bones of my arse.

But I have huge issues with the commodification of women's bodies men seeing us as objects that deliver sex, housework and babies is one of the very base roots of misogyny.

Einhverdottir · 15/09/2024 17:00

It's interesting to see how we have different perspectives based on age. And of course, based on the importance of the amount of money for someone. Also a lot of variety on how people look at sex (which also changes with age).

If I had to do it, then easiest for me if I'd be lying on my stomach, face down and doing nothing, doggy might mean I'd be expected to move a bit.

StrugglingGrief · 15/09/2024 16:35

I could not cope if DH did it, it would ruin me. in a way if I did it I think it wouldn’t mean anything to me but if DH did it I don’t think I could live with that.

God I'd much rather have my legs than a million pounds.

**

Exactly, I'm sure the person it happened to would rather that as well.
Bit nasty for the person who made the original comment about her to discuss her like that.
