Would you have sex-missionary with someone if offered money

If so, how much would it have to be?

Discussion at work quite a few years ago, inspired by the Demi Moore film. I was younger and had more money than now. If someone asked you to sleep with them for x amount of money-say half a million, would you? Missionary only, over quickly
I was aghast and said no, most said of course they would.

Now, I think I feel differently

Would you?

No. The idea of a man that thinks he can buy me is repulsive to me.

I think it would have psychological consequences for many who have said yes. Every time you bought something you would be reminded of some grotty man who bought you. <shudder>

Not really because in this senario you have a choice, and there are plenty of grotty men who still manage to get laid so someone is putting out and not minding.

Some men would shag a buttered roll so not everyone has high standards male or female

Oganesson118 · 13/09/2024 00:35

Sure, so long as the other person wasn’t hideous.

Thecatistheboss · 13/09/2024 00:34

I’d do it for a tenner, will not lie

DramaAlpaca · 13/09/2024 00:33

Obviously I'd love the money... but I don't think I could bring myself to do it. I'd hate myself afterwards.

ThatSongStuckInYourHead · 13/09/2024 00:32

A prostitute who is genuinely choosing to sell sex is not a victim or some second rate human.

When lots of very wealthy people choose to be prostitutes as a career choice you may have a point. Until then, no. And it'll never happen.

Nope. Every time I'd step foot in the front door of my brand new home I'd be thinking "what a fucking mug that man was giving me half a mill, I'd have probably done it for 50k".

NotSoHotMess24 · 13/09/2024 00:31

I'm mid 30s with lovely partner, two toddlers and naff all cash (despite us working 8 days a week between us).

Does your partner / spouse mind in this imaginary scenario?

If mine was for some reason okay with it (he wouldn't be), I'd do it for £500.

More likely it would be him that needed convincing. I reckon he'd turn a blind eye for £10,000. Will check with him tomorrow when he's awake.

For £500,000, I'd do it whether he agreed or not!!

MsLavender · 13/09/2024 00:30

Snoringfamily · 13/09/2024 00:28

Ok doesn’t have to be missionary to those asking, but isn’t that the easiest, less worst option?! Get very drunk, close eyes, think of the money 😬

Not if they have terrible breathe, plus you'd have to look them in the eye while they're grunting away and presumably it wouldn't be someone you'd sleep with willingly under other circumstances. Eww plus they might be dripping forehead sweat all over your face. Nope, doggy please.

Abbylikeswine · 13/09/2024 00:29

PyongyangKipperbang · 13/09/2024 00:18

But you say "You know you had been a prostitute" like its a negative thing. In this scenario he is prepared to pay whatever it costs so you have the power. A shag that would mean nothing to me in terms of the physical act versus the difference it would make to my life in terms of financial benefits.....no brainer. A prostitute who is genuinely choosing to sell sex is not a victim or some second rate human.

The ability to choose is different to a woman who is trafficked or pimped or is servicing an addiction and has no real choice.

Some would say that he is buying my consent, I disagree. I would say that, in this scenario, I am charging him for my consent. Small but significant difference.

I disagree.

I think letting someone pay for me like I was an object, is really damaging.

I was reading an article about sugar babies.
They are young women who have sex with men for money.

In the article, the three women said that they had all come out of the situation: feeling traumatised and depressed.

Snoringfamily · 13/09/2024 00:29

I do wonder about the psychological part too though, wish I didn’t think like that

I wouldn't be up for loss of body parts I'm pretty damn sure!!

HoppingPavlova · 13/09/2024 00:28

Thats actually another, interesting side to the discussion! If our dps, Dh’s we’re offered the same scenario, would we give our blessing

Bloody oath and I’d be using a cattle prod if need be - US$1million in 1993 is US$2,176,747.40 today. I’d then ask him to donate it to our kids saving for a flat😁.

Edited to add, I’d also get him to try and wrangle a top notch suit out of the deal as well, because Demi got the dress as well as the cash🤣.

EveryDayisFriday · 13/09/2024 00:26

Yes, definitely. I've had disappointing sex for free so it would nice to get some dosh for the same disappointment. Sex is just physical, yes it means more if you are with someone you love but if you aren't it's just a physical act like brushing your teeth.

Abbylikeswine · 13/09/2024 00:25

Synchronisedwitches · 13/09/2024 00:12

And I don't think it would be any more psychologically damaging than anything else I've experienced in life only this time I'd have 100k to help me get over it..

A good extension of this discussion is body parts.
Me and a friend who works in insurance were discussing that girl who got the payout from alton towers when her legs got crushed on the Smiler.
And how she may actually have considered it a lucky thing to have happened to her as she can now walk again with prosthetic legs and live a relatively normal life.. but she got 1million plus payout at 18 so she never has to worry much about money...
So we were discussing what body parts we'd give up for how much money..
Apparently there's a list of how much body parts are worth in terms of insurance and/or in court cases regarding accidents that weren't your fault!! There's a whole list of what say, losing a finger, or an ear, would be worth financially

God I'd much rather have my legs than a million pounds.

Teenagerantruns · 13/09/2024 00:25

Definitely, l think i would be up for it for £50k plus,..not that its ever going to happen I'm 50+ and fat, can't see anyone paying for it to be honest. I mean it's just sex and if it's missionary at least it's low effort sex.

LadyChilli · 13/09/2024 00:25

Josette77 · 12/09/2024 23:57

No.

I've had sex I've regretted and didn't get paid, I'd be fine getting paid.

That said I'd only want my partner to do it if they were less attractive than me. It's shallow but it's true.

Yeah that's terrible but I'm the same. I'd do it for way less than half a million though I get uncomfortable when I start chopping down the figures and learn how low I'd go. Only if I could tell DP because I'd not be unfaithful to him. I think he'd be more fine with it than I would if the situation was reversed.

PyongyangKipperbang · 13/09/2024 00:24

Precipice · 13/09/2024 00:21

No way would I give up my legs for 1 million. Prosthetics have come a long way, but I don't believe they're anywhere near having your own normal legs.

Do you think 100k really enough to 'help you get over' unwanted sex with a guy you find physically loathsome and disgusting? Whose hands are crawling all over your body? Better the 100k than no money for the same experience (rape), but no.

I wouldn't be giving up a finger or an ear either. I have seen some insurance payout limits, albeit in the context of credit cards, which I presume price things lower than health or travel accident insurance might, but they all seemed very low to me for the damage suffered.

But you use the phrase "unwanted sex", which in this scenario it isnt for the women who would agree.

They want the sex in exchange for the money. And I disagree that it would be rape because, as I said before, they are not buying my consent. I am giving my consent in exchange for their money. I am choosing because I have a choice.

TwistedWonder · 13/09/2024 00:23

No I couldn’t. I can’t even get think about getting physical with anyone I don’t feel a connection with do the thought of having sex with a random repulses me tbh

StartingANewNameToday · 13/09/2024 00:22

I have private accident cover through work. There's a full list of how much they'll pay you for loss of body parts in their policy. I can't remember the specifics but can recall that they differentiate between fingers and thumbs and toes and big toes. Thumbs and big toes were worth quite a bit more!

Shineybrightthings · 13/09/2024 00:22

Half a million? bring it on! After 40 years of celibacy I hope I can remember what to do. If I enjoy it how much would I need to pay for round 2 the following weekend and possibly set up a direct debit for a weekly visit? I’m saving up for a stair lift and don’t want to leave myself short 😆

Okay just asked the other half if he would do it and he said if I allowed it he would. I gave him side eye and said "you wouldn't do it if I said no?". He then says he'd dump me, do it and then get back with me so that it wasn't cheating 😂
