Would you have sex-missionary with someone if offered money

If so, how much would it have to be?

Discussion at work quite a few years ago, inspired by the Demi Moore film. I was younger and had more money than now. If someone asked you to sleep with them for x amount of money-say half a million, would you? Missionary only, over quickly
I was aghast and said no, most said of course they would.

Now, I think I feel differently

Would you?

The damage it causes you mentally would not be worth it.

It wouldn’t necessarily cause damage. I think it depends on what they look like, how experienced you are and what your personal circumstances are.

🤔This question reminds me of the film indecent proposal with Robert Redford & Demi Moore. It's about a woman in a happy marriage whose husband is offered a million dollars by a rich man for a night with his wife. The couple have little money so they eventually agree. Her husband sees her getting into the helicopter & tries to stop her but it was too late. The deed was done the money was in the bank & it ruined their marriage. He was devasted she agreed, she was devastated he let her. The husband ended up donating all the money to charity. After having signed divorce papers they eventually got back together.

This story is exactly how I see things ending up so my answer is tempted, possibly, carrying it out, absolutely 100% NO.

Me and my friends have had this conversation before and the general consensus was - everyone’s got a price 🤣

PrawnofthePatriarchy · 13/09/2024 11:12

£500k? Like a shot.

Ixon · 13/09/2024 11:11

Meh. Sure. When I was younger it would have been psychologically damaging but honestly after having had kids I've the had the doctor up in here like he was trying to get a calf out. But wouldn't because DH would feel quite differently.

@BettyBardMacDonald Grin im nearly crying with laughter at: "the thought of new kitchen cabinets would get my aroused and I would give them the shag of a lifetime"

Absolute poetry

But most people would sleep with Chris Hemsworth (or someone in that league) with no money changing hands, so the money is irrelevant to that scenario.

Edit: No idea why it’s posted this twice. I have been looking at a spinning circle for three minutes.

Heddwch123 · 13/09/2024 11:01

Yes… and I’d do it for a lot less 🤣

PlayDadiFreyr · 13/09/2024 10:55

Ooh, and what if it was 500k each for one of you to sleep with someone else?

I personally wouldn't mind it and wouldn't consider it cheating if we both knew about it first.

Cheating is lying and concealment and breaking promises. Not the act of sex itself.

See I sort of automatically think ‘Go on, off you go’, but I do wonder how I’d feel afterwards, it might make me be a bit weird and could I hack it out for the cash long term?

apostrophewoman · 13/09/2024 10:59

BettyBardMacDonald · 13/09/2024 09:23

Same here.

I've got a dire crap kitchen that hasn't been renovated in 75 years. Just the thought of new fitted cabinets would get me so aroused I'd give them the shag of a lifetime! 🤣🤣🤣

And not care who knew it.

😂😂😂

Over71 · 13/09/2024 10:59

I've done it for free - married & single - for no reward .
I'd certainly do it for someone who expresses their gratitude in that sum

User19876536484 · 13/09/2024 10:57

I would want the same money for Chris Hemsworth. It’s all about the money for me.

I just want to flip this for an extra layer - what about if someone offered your spouse/partner the money?

Would you be happy for them to do it and change your lives?

Would you suffer missionary sex with a portly middle aged man who voted Reform and talked constantly about fishing... for a 5 bed house with a spa pool, in the Cotswolds?

Abso-fucking-lutely!

I'd do it in a heartbeat.

Cantabulous · 13/09/2024 10:54

Absolutely fucking not.

Growlybear83 · 13/09/2024 10:51

Absolutely not. I'm married and would never consider cheating on my husband. It would make no difference if he knew and condoned it either, although if he was willing to accept me having sex with someone else, that would be the end of my marriage.

XMissPlacedX · 13/09/2024 10:51

@PlayDadiFreyr 'is it taxed though' Grin valid question

Eyeslikethesea · 13/09/2024 10:50

I’m a 47 yo woman whose husband hasn’t come near her in nearly 8 years. I would probably pay them lol

TheEyesOfLucyJordon · 13/09/2024 10:50

No. Absolutely not. I'm single, so nothing spoiling there. But, still no.

I have more than enough money for my the life I want. An additional £500k/£5m/£500m would make no difference to anything 😊

PlayDadiFreyr · 13/09/2024 10:49

When people talk about you can't buy consent, I do always think that my work but my consent to sit at a desk 35h a week.

For a million, I'd get all those hours back and more. I don't know of any man being able to go at it for 35h. So it's a bargain.

Is it taxed though?

NotMyCircusss · 13/09/2024 10:45

No.

HerVagestyTheQueef · 13/09/2024 10:42

I hate that "Yes, we've established what you are..." shit misogynistic "joke".
Not only does it take the position that punters, pimps, johns paying for sex is absolutely fine and it's the woman who's morals are questionable; there's also an element of 'clever man getting the better of stupid woman'. Gross.

It's disappointing that women are quoting here like some kind of gotcha.

NetballHoop · 13/09/2024 10:40

Those of you who would. Just imagine that you agree to it and it turns out that it's Donald Trump that you have to have sex with. I don't think there's enough bleach in the world to wash that image away.

Fancypopop · 13/09/2024 10:39

I think it's naive to think everyone is the same, that's just the authors opinion ( and a valid one). People see and experience things differently, it's what makes us all individual

Exactly. I’ve slept with men in my 20s who I wouldn’t touch with a barge pole now. If I could go back in time and not do it I would, but it certainly doesn’t keep me up at night and it hasn’t scarred me even a tiny bit. It’s just something I did in the past and I never think about it now. This would be the same.

It would make me feel rather powerful to think a man was paying that much money and I certainly wouldn’t feel like a victim. Quite the opposite.

I appreciate everyone is different. Fully respect that. But that author doesn’t speak for me, I am not her and she is not me.
