Would you have sex-missionary with someone if offered money

If so, how much would it have to be?

Discussion at work quite a few years ago, inspired by the Demi Moore film. I was younger and had more money than now. If someone asked you to sleep with them for x amount of money-say half a million, would you? Missionary only, over quickly
I was aghast and said no, most said of course they would.

Now, I think I feel differently

Would you?

Not a scenario that will ever happen though - could ask too if you would kill someone for a certain amount, do we all have a price for that too?

Really not the same at all 🫤 I should hope none of us have a price for that.

Whiskeymalavodkaade · 13/09/2024 12:06

Yep, that’s a life changing amount of money for some meaningless sex.

sval · 13/09/2024 12:05

No, I wouldn't, I couldn't prostitute myself even as a one-off.

Sarah2891 · 13/09/2024 12:05

Definitely not!

Somanypiessolittletime · 13/09/2024 12:04

@Fluufer I reckon I'd have done it at 18 too tbh.

This feels sad, people saying you'd sell sexual services for money now you have experience of life. If only your ordinary jobs didn't leave you so disillusioned! My answer at a 18 is never, I hope it's not different at 40.

Why is it sad?

I wouldn't fall head over heels with someone over the course of having missionary style sex, and even if I found them physically attractive the fact that they were purchasing sex would make the whole situation very unromantic. It would be a mutually beneficial financial arrangement and we'd both walk away with what we wanted, albeit with a bit of an icky feeling.

I'm not sure id even feel.icky really. As long as they were clean!!! I think I'd feel bloody excited at the half a million quid I'd just come into
(And no I couldn't do it with someone who WASN'T clean) Omg or had bad breath 🤮

In that case why not earn it as an escort with benefits over a period of time, easily done & no difference if the married couple both agree.

Because this is just the once, not a ‘career’. This is what the thread is about, not would you be an escort as a job.

iwfja · 13/09/2024 11:55

I would do it. I'm single. If I was with someone I wouldn't do it.

Strokethefurrywall · 13/09/2024 11:52

Fuck no. Don't need the money, and the idea of shagging anyone other than my husband leaves me utterly cold.

That being said, when I was younger and single I most definitely would have!

If it was the opposite of unpleasant & you both fell head over heels in love with each other then subsequently devastated a happy family life with your husband and children. Is it still worth it in this scenario?

£500k is enough to be mortgage free and change mine and my family's lives significantly. For 15 unpleasant minutes. Of course I'd do it.

The amount of money that would let me retire and set my dc up in flats, for example - I suspect dh would be getting my coat.

Creamdecaramel · 13/09/2024 11:40

Being a happily married woman I wouldn’t do it as I know my DH wouldn’t like it, in exactly the same way I wouldn’t like him to. We don’t need the money.

If however, I was single that absolutely I would!!!! I want to provide for my disabled child and their future and would do whatever it takes and £500k would be so helpful so it’s a big fat yes from me! I would hate it like….

ManchesterLu · 13/09/2024 11:39

Depends who and how much. If someone was offering me half a million, I would almost certainly do it. I can separate myself from sex if needs be, and half a million would change my life substantially.

Anyone who WOULDN'T have sex for half a million is odd.

Because then it's more of a job and less of a "lottery win".

Besides, I think the chance of my being offered repeated high value custom are rather slim (because I am not :D).

I've always had a detached attitude to sex though. I've always been faintly icked out by the idea that sex should be with someone you love, mainly because I saw so much pressure on my friends to have sex BECAUSE they loved their teenage boyfriends.

Sex should be because you want to have sex. If the reason you want to have sex is because of lots and lots of money, I'm all for it.

Wondergoldenlight · 13/09/2024 11:32

The damage it causes you mentally would not be worth it.

why would I be mentally damaged by agreeing to have sex with someone and then being rich?

Everycloudect · 13/09/2024 11:24

BunnyLake · 13/09/2024 11:18

I think it’s different if the offer were made directly to you, not to your husband or partner who then put the offer forward to you.

🤔This question reminds me of the film indecent proposal with Robert Redford & Demi Moore. It's about a woman in a happy marriage whose husband is offered a million dollars by a rich man for a night with his wife. The couple have little money so they eventually agree. Her husband sees her getting into the helicopter & tries to stop her but it was too late. The deed was done the money was in the bank & it ruined their marriage. He was devasted she agreed, she was devastated he let her. The husband ended up donating all the money to charity. After having signed divorce papers they eventually got back together.

This story is exactly how I see things ending up so my answer is tempted, possibly, carrying it out, absolutely 100% NO.

I think it’s different if the offer were made directly to you, not to your husband or partner who then put the offer forward to you.
