For wanting to photoshop a photo of a friend

Had a lovely holiday with some friends, I was the designated photographer so I sent all of the photos to everyone afterwards and told them to send the ones back they want uploaded to social media. All was fine however one friend sent back a picture and on closer inspection I would feel more comfortable photoshopping part of it. I don't want to upset my friend so I was thinking of just doing it without telling her but then I think if she looks at it compared to the original and she notices then she will be offended. Would it be unreasonable to just edit it without telling her?

Not sure what kind of anatomy lesson is needed here but no, a few stray hairs that go below the leg line of a swimsuit does not mean my genitals are in any way on show.

And yes, if I did care about appearing to be hairless I would do something about it. I don't care and would resent being told my not caring is inappropriate. Sometimes I wear full shorts and a long sleeved rash vest for a bit more warmth in the UK sea. Sometimes I wear a normal swimsuit. In neither item am I choosing to show or cover hair. They are just items that are cut differently.

Anyway, OP doesn't know if her friend is bothered or not so should just ask. Not that she's coming back again, clearly.

There’s some noticeable hairs visible from an area that a bikini usually covers. The thing is I’m not sure if my friend noticed and she doesn’t mind or she didn’t notice. If it’s latter then I could get away with photoshopping it however if it’s the former she might be offended that I asked to edit it out.

Maybe share a Photoshopped version with her, only add more fur and a big arrow, and ask if she wants you to Photoshop it!

We're talking about hair in places where is usually found wearing swimwear which rarely covers the area. Nobody's "growler" is on show.

It's kinder to just go ahead and photoshop the pic. Nobody is going to prefer to be showing their bush than not. If indeed your friend genuinely doesn't care, then no harm is done either way.

If it were me I'd rather my friend just edited them out without mentioning it. I don't wax but equally wouldn't want people seeing them online, or calling me to discuss it! She probably didn't notice them in the photo as she isn't looking too forensically at it.

Nobody on here is going to have better judgment on this than you op. You know her, you've seen the photo.
How noticeable is it? Did you have to zoom in to see it?

Whatever it is, contact her and say 'your armpit/bikini hair is showing' - I can photoshop it out if you like and wait for response.

You are friends - so this is what friends do, its like telling a friend her skirt is tucked into her knickers.

This - just tell her as she might well not have noticed it and be embarrassed later.

Just upload it, if she has an issue later take it down. Unless this is a drip feed and your friend is a famous celebrity and the photo will get a lot of interest and reposting.
