I'm going to be an outlier and say well done.

Rare, rubbed with salt, pepper & minced garlic granules, show it the pan, turn it over & done, I've even started to cook mine in the Ninja, 6 minutes & it's perfect.

Noooʻ

No minced garlic.

That will burn.

Bash a few cloves. Oil, butter.

Bathe.

Rare and rested
Soft meaty beefy goodness.

Aroastdinnerisnotahumanright · 02/09/2024 01:44

Still mooing. I like the mineral taste, it makes me feel like I'm absorbing the nutrients more directly. Why do you ask though ?

Galiana · 02/09/2024 01:42

Sirloin? Medium rare.

Fillet? Rare/blue.

Any steak with sinew/fat so T-bone, Sirloin, rump, medium rare. There has to be enough heat to relax the fibres.

Fillet is really the only steak that should be served rare, blue, or raw. There is flatiron or flank that are best rare, but they're not really cuts one would find in the UK

TwinklyNight · 02/09/2024 01:34

Rare, for the flavour and the tenderness.

XenoBitch · 01/09/2024 23:49

PowerTulle · 01/09/2024 23:14

Rare, but with a good thick wedge of properly aged yellow fat along the edge, seared well so that it melts in the mouth.

Yes! It has to have the fat. I hate it when it has been trimmed off. I save it until last.

My brother says, 'Just remove the horns and the tail' 🤣

And wipe it's arse! 🤣👍

Medium rare, though I prefer fillet which I had a few days ago. It’s not something I eat often but when I do, I really enjoy it.
I’ve read farmers and butchers ask for rib eye as they find it tastier.

Rib eye is the best cut and it used to be cheaper than rump but people cottoned on and it's so expensive now (the same as shoulder of lamb used to cost pennies but is now more expensive than leg. Thanks, Jamie)

Blue. I'm not actually that bothered whether it's cooked at all; just wave a box of matches over it and bring it over 😊

Not sure why you are asking? But rare because that’s how I like it…,
seems a strange post though?

Even stranger that the OP fucked straight off.

Probably some sort of survey we've fallen for?

SugarHorseSpooks · 01/09/2024 23:42

medium but still tender when eating it, not keen if its too chewy

SonicTheHodgeheg · 01/09/2024 23:41

Rare

NeverDropYourMooncup · 01/09/2024 23:40

Very rare with crispy fat.

Unfortunately, DP believes that tough enough to keep the dentist busy is exactly the same as very rare and on the one occasion I'd insisted on cooking my own (and promptly got dizzy, which is why he cooks) and had a perfect steak resting, in the time it took him to manage to boil some potatoes, I realised that the beeping wasn't for extra veg, it was him microwaving it FIVE TIMES.

So I don't buy it anymore.

CrushingOnRubies · 01/09/2024 23:24

Medium rare to medium

XenaBallerina · 01/09/2024 23:23

Steak has to be room temperature before cooking
Fat has to be well rendered
Well oiled and seasoned with salt and cracked black pepper
Griddle pan has to be smoking hot
Cooked either Rare or Blue
And lastly not spoiled with a sauce!
dont mess with my steak

Mumtobabyhavoc · 01/09/2024 23:17

Always prefer any steak blue or rare the very odd time I eat it. 😋

PowerTulle · 01/09/2024 23:14

Noseybookworm · 01/09/2024 23:10

I don't mind sirloin but my favourite is ribeye - medium, with a lovely peppercorn sauce 😋

helloisitmeyourelookingfor · 01/09/2024 23:10

So rare you have to stab it to stop it running off the plate

Why?

Because after growing up eating incinerated beef in lots of different forms I always thought I didn't like meat

Then I was enlightened

AdoraBell · 01/09/2024 23:09

Medium rare. Tastes better and less chewy.

TheClawDecides · 01/09/2024 23:08

Pipecleanerrevival · 01/09/2024 22:34

Crispy and Cremated. Because eating blood is disgusting.

It's not blood.

It's water and protein.
