Like small kids, under 10. No, just... no.
YABU = You bloody love a mullet on a small child. Looks great!
YANBU = You agree that a mullet is a monstrosity, particularly on a small child.

My judgement would be they probably have quite young ‘trendy’ parents.

Not necessarily young but definitely trendy. It is a thing in east London and I'm not sure how I feel about it because when I was growing up this look was worn non-ironically by the tougher kids, not little Caspian at fencing class.

GalileoHumpkins · 26/08/2024 16:36

Mullets are an abomination.

Blubbled · 26/08/2024 16:34

Mullets on ANYONE are not a good look!
I'm old enough to remember "Pat Sharp's Hair" lol!

I love them! I’ve been trying to persuade DS to get one, he’s going to the barbers tomorrow. It’s completely in fashion atm so why not, it’s only hair.

Awful but they seem to be here. My friend's kids' in Aus have been sporting them for a couple of years.

Hipster Chic.

Stop being such an old fart.

cariadlet · 26/08/2024 16:16

Hideous.

I remember them first time round and at the time I thought they were great. It didn't take too long for everyone to realise that they were one of the biggest style mistakes of the 80s and they were the butt of jokes for years.

I genuinely thought someone was winding me up when I was told that they're making a come back.

loropianalover · 26/08/2024 16:15

I like them! 🤣

There is a boy of 8-9 years old in DS’ basketball class who has a very obvious mullet - I’ve overheard other parents commenting about how it looks and it’s not complimentary.

jolenethea · 26/08/2024 16:07

It's a rugby thing

rubyslippers · 26/08/2024 16:07

Preferable to a skinhead?

Also kids over 10.

Also adults, unless they are Pat Sharpe and it’s 1988.
