I’m 46 now and keep remembering my teenage years, early mid 20’s and craving them, life just feels like a slog now full of things we have to do. Back then, it was all just so much fun…life was amazing.
I also have fond memories of early 30’s, buying a house, career, still young really-travelling, festivals.
Then 39 when I had my Dd and those early years, hard work but so beautiful in a different way. I don’t know why I can’t see the future being anything good like these moments 🤷🏻‍♀️

What was your favourite age?

I am 70. Retired at 65. A few health issues for myself and DH, but can honestly say this is by far the best time. Kids are settled, time for more holidays, we do what we want to do, not what we have to do, if we wake up and tgecweather is good we can go up to the Lake District, or North Wales, or the Pennines, you get the idea. Very aware that there won't be many years before health will start to stop us doing things, but at the moment, never been happier.

Late thirties - I think I became a bit more stylish once I wasn’t following fashion, was a stronger character and had more disposable income.

26 was great. 30s were a mix- it was the best of times, it was the worst of times!

26/27 was a great year.

Then 30-31.

Late 40's now. I'm hoping there's another great year or two in my 50's.

23, I had 2 children and was newly single with a whole new life ahead of me, I went back to finish my degree and my life changed so much that year.

I've actually enjoyed being in my early 50s as much as any age, but I was talking to someone earlier (for some reason) about being 22 and that was quite a good age to be. On the other side of education but without too many responsibilities yet.

I loved my late teens and 20s, learnt a lot, expanded my horizons and had a huge amount of fun. I adored bringing up children in my 30s and my career thrived but it was a self care low point. Really enjoyed my 40s - great career wise, children happy, looked pretty good and met great people. In my 50s a few health issues arose, kids floundered a bit as young adults, marriage hit a rough patch and we lost many wonderful people in our lives so it was a bit shit.
So far 60s are great!

I looked my best at that age for a variety of reasons.

When i was 37, I separated from my husband my dad had died after a long and painful illness (we had done our grieving and it was a relief for all including him) and I cut contact with my abusive mother.

I had the most fun I've had in my life the following year - rediscovering myself, starting new hobbies, making new friends etc. I felt limitless.

10-18 when it was just a blur of friends and horses. I have quite enjoyed my mid thirties onwards (40 now), becoming secure in who I am, kids getting older etc

WickieRoy · 25/08/2024 17:50

Early 30s - double income no kids. Grin Priced up one of our most basic pre kids holidays as a family of four and nearly fell off my seat. Grin

Around 24 or 25, I think. Before I settled down, got married, had DC. No regrets, but if I was starting over I'd do things differently and have my freedom for longer.
