That LGBTYS (LGBT Youth) should be removed from schools and investigated asap?

You can tell from preschool the ones who are likely to have a natural tenancy to be gay. They have different mannerisms from very young. I've been right about pretty much all my children's nursery and primary school classmates who later 'came out'. Nobody was surprised with those particular children.

However the secondary school agenda of pushing trans has been a nightmare. Half my children's classmates identified as something they weren't for a while because it was drummed into them at a vulnerable age where they are learning about how they feel, how hormones are changing them etc.

The genuine will be what they are, they should be accepted and supported of course but going along with a vulnerable age group thinking they are something different each week doesn't help anyone. Especially not them.

It certainly puts the previous years and years of conditioning people that using sex based language rather than preferred language into a completely different perspective. It also now grounds transgender identities, all 130+ of them, firmly as philosophical belief as a commonality that is now loosely supported by those with dysphoria.

So, why is it that posters still come onto threads using hyperbolic emotionally manipulative tactics such as shaming and name calling because others choose not to comply with someone else's philosophical belief?

What moral grounds do posters have to do that in the face of the new information that transgender identities do not mean that the person with that identity has gender dysphoria, but merely chooses how they want to be referred to and expects everyone to just comply with that? What other group of people does society allow to make demands for compliance as we have been seeing for years, based on philosophical belief?

It certainly shows this group in a very different light when considering such demanded accommodations. Language, single sex spaces, educational changes, sports and medical treatment doesn't cover all those accommodations by any means. It is just a sample.

I don't believe that many people have realised that there has been this change. And considering the emotional investment that people have now made to make accommodations, will those people continue to make those accommodations?

Yes, many activists say dysphoria isn’t needed. Abigail Thorn has repeatedly said they think ‘dysphoria’ is gate-keeping and that they transitioned because they wanted to.

I’m fairly certain one of the TRAs on the JKR thread also said you don’t need dysphoria to be trans just a couple of days ago.

As for the treatments I have no idea if you’d need an actual diagnosis of dysphoria at the moment but extreme elective surgery is certain what the likes of Thorn are arguing for. I do wonder how the general public would really feel about it all if they realised what was actually being asked for.

That sounds crazy to me. Absolutely crazy. Surely, wanting gender affirming care… I.e. wanting to receive actual physical treatment to change your body so it looks more like the body of someone of the opposite sex to the one you were born, is admitting that you have gender dysphoria.
You are right on that then being classed as elective surgery, surely? And surely then those surgeries should not be available on the NHS…

Honestly, the mental gymnastics one has to undertake to try and understand all this is exhausting.

Nothing in that name to say that it is only to treat gender dysphoria and that it cannot be purely elective because that is what some people want. And at the moment, I believe that some of these treatments are available on the NHS, even though if being transgender does not require any gender dysphoria, I would think that would make it just elective extreme body modifications. But I could be wrong.

They call a lack of negative dysphoria and a delight in their hormone induced body development and being validated as the opposite sex "gender euphoria" and that's a big part of the trans experience for many. Other names are available.

But considering how about two or three years ago I saw teenagers on social media declare that it is a lifestyle choice for them, I reckon that is a good place to start to understand.

-People are concerned about men who 'identify' as women infiltrating women's sports and women-only spaces.

These agencies represent the operating safeguarding boundary that a school is accountable for.

The school heads and governors are personally accountable for what happens in their schools, not the City Council, and not these agencies.

I obviously don’t know the child in question but perhaps the PP meant that the trans identifying behaviours continued beyond childhood, and could therefore be traced back to the age of 2 (with hindsight). Rather than them being identified AT the age of 2.

Trans adults seem to know from a young age.

A 2 year old does not understand their own and others' sex. If you mean the child preferred the stereotypical toys, clothes, activities of the other sex, that is normal behaviour. A child only knows about 'trans' if s/he has been told this by an adult. Any parent who allows, let alone encourages, their child to 'transition' is guilty of child abuse.

Read the Cass Review, 'Time to Think', by Hannah Barnes and 'Trans' by Helen Joyce. Every child needs to go through puberty for their bodies to develop properly - not only their reproductive systems, but also their brains, major organs and skeletons. Research the stories of those who were not allowed to go through puberty and those of detransitioners who bitterly regret the irreversible damage they have done to their bodies.

Scottish Government and Education Scotland have been heavily influenced by LGBTYS and Time for Inclusive Education (TIE) for more than 10 years so it's going to take a lot of time and effort to remove their 'allies' from LAs and schools.

TIE's lobbying led to John Swinney announcing in 2018 that 'LGBT Education' would be embedded in the curriculum. Although ScotGov provides guidance https://www.gov.scot/publications/supporting-transgender-young-people-schools-guidance-scottish-schools/pages/4/, it is not madatory. It is worth pointing out to your chld's school that, if parents chose to take legal action about this, both SG and the LA would say 'it's only guidance' and the school, i.e. the Head, would carry the can and would be liable.

Actions:

1. Ask your child's school how much of this guidance they are choosing to implement and why
2. Check the books in the school library
3. Ask the school and the LA if they will reconsider their position in the light of the Cass Review
4. Write to your MSPs and ask them to request SG and EdScot to adopt the Cass Review's findings
5. Explain to your child that a) humans cannot change sex and b) there is no one way to be a boy or a girl.
6. Join a group that is challenging this for more advice and support e.g. Safeguarding our Schools Scotland sosscotland.com, WRN Scotland, For Women Scotland, Parents Watch Education Glasgow et al

Didn't the Surrey Police accompany this guy to a school just days before he was arrested and charged with 22 counts of child related abuse etc?

I was reading about how Stonewall and similar had received something like £3million in public funds per year. THIS is how this has all got out of control. Rather than spend the money on books for children, more teachers, fewer children in classes, literacy and increasing maths skill, social net supports, and more, we have funded a runaway train.

How was it obvious at 2? At 3 years, boys at dc's nursery would quite often put on dresses. Within a fairly short period of time they stopped naturally. None were trans. It is usual for young children to experiment and in terms of child development, children do not start to understand relevant concepts until ages 3 - 5. How on earth could it be known that a 2 year old were trans?
