Laundry.
It never fucking ends. It's just the sheer volume of it and the dread at putting it all away once dry.
The thing I'm most looking forward to about one day living on my own, is having only one lot of washing to do.
What about you?

My DH's Stage 4 cancer which is incurable. And he will die too young.

Nothing else in life matters apart from health.

Wavescrashingonthebeach · 05/08/2024 11:58

Teething!!!!

Maia77 · 05/08/2024 11:58

Cooking.

Gingerbreadloony · 05/08/2024 11:57

Chronic illness. Makes 90% of daily life an absolute drag.

Simonjt · 05/08/2024 11:57

Racists, it would help with over population too.

Genuineweddingone · 05/08/2024 11:55

My mothers lies. They are vile, evil, spiteful and nasty and cause me and my child so much pain.

Mischance · 05/08/2024 11:55

Pain .... it infiltrates every moment of my life.

VividQuoter · 05/08/2024 11:55

Kriscross · 05/08/2024 10:12

Illness and disability. Life would be better without those. All the other stuff is mere fluff in my opinion

these things...life long asthmatic here....

much better now.

Friend died on a street in front of her very young kids of asthma attack at age of 43.

ALL ELSE IS FLUFF, ESPECIALLY ROMANCE. OH PLEASE, DO YOU KNOW WHAT DOES IT FEEL NOT BEEN ABLE TO BREATHE

spiderlight · 05/08/2024 11:55

Migraine.

GoldenLegend · 05/08/2024 11:53

My disability.

StripedPiggy · 05/08/2024 11:53

Work. Or, rather, the financial need to work.

After 35 years as a wage salve, I am just completely done with the whole entire fucking thing and I would retire tomorrow if I could afford to.

My fatness…,

isn’t that terrible?
of all the things in the world this was my immediate response

But that's ok. The whole thing was meant as a 'first thing that comes to your head'. Yours is just an honest, quick fire response to the question.
And as I said, I can relate!

Elderly relatives. I don't want to eradicate them and am dreading them being gone. But life would be so much easier without.

Bathh82 · 05/08/2024 11:41

Mobile phones 100 percent.

Ragwort. And don't come at me about cinnabar moths.

I feel your pain!

Zoflorabore · 05/08/2024 11:39

To be honest- most people’s answers have saved me the job of making a huge list of things!

mainly for me- laundry, dog hair- we have a cream husky who’s in shedding season AGAIN, weeds in my path which I can’t stand, chronic pain, my kids anxiety and the constant worry about money.

apart from that- life is fucking fabulous 🤣

For me, the need to work. I find all the household stuff like laundry etc annoying, sure, but I mostly find it annoying because it has to be done in what I feel should be my leisure time, ie evenings and weekends when I'm not working. If I didn't have a job I wouldn't find housework at all annoying - it's not like it's actually difficult and (unlike my actual job) I could happily just listen to an audiobook or put the TV on and zone out while I was doing it.

Yes I agree with this. Keeping an already clean house clean is a joy, so I would be happy pootling away if I had all the time in the world. Or even just more time. I'd love to work two days a week, do housework two days a week and have one day just for me. Then weekends for family. Bliss.

My mum's rescue Staffie recently passed away. She found one of her hairs inside a photo frame the other day! They got everywhere. I don't know how owners with long-haired breeds cope.

I actually think the hair from short-haired breeds is much worse to deal with - with a lot of long-haired breeds their fur mostly comes out when you brush them (and wire-haired breeds barely shed at all in comparison) but that really short, shiny hair on short-haired breeds just seems to get everywhere and also seems more itchy and prickly somehow.
