Would you date a guy who thinks it's great that a 19yr old he met on a plane 15 years ago gave him a blowjob in the airplane seat?

He was 40 when this happened. They ended up dating for 3 months.

He's 54 now. He thinks it's something to be proud of.

I've got an 18 yr old daughter. I'm feeling rather repulsed.

I've been on several dates with him. Getting on well. Now this has come out and I'm wanting to kick him off the sofa in my home that he's currently sitting on next to me.

If he’s telling the truth that’s disgusting, and it’s a huge red flag that he’s even told you.

If it’s a lie made up to impress you then it’s still weird and a huge red flag.

I’d make sure he knows exactly why you won’t be seeing him any more. Because he’s gross.

Sounds like he's misguidedly trying to make himself sound exciting, attractive and comfortable enough with you to tell you personal bits about his life. It wouldn't bother me tbh, assuming it was consensual with the 19yo. And it certainly wouldn't make me think he was unsafe around other young women.

But if you have the ick, you have the ick! If you've not been with him long, it's best you've found out now!

Exactly. He’s lying. If anything he saw a teenager that he was attracted to and who spent the whole flight nervous that a weird old man was leering at her. Or he saw it in porn, which is where these unlikely “teen girls that love old men” tend to exist.

The fact that he has verbalized it is vile. You have an 18 year-old daughter, of course you get rid of him.

The problem is that he

A. Told you about it, presumably without invitation!

B. Is fixated on her age - as in, that makes it part of the thrill, rather than an incidental fact. Did he emphasise her age or did you ask?

As far as male fantasies go, a blow job from a stranger on a plane sounds reasonably harmless - if it wasn’t for the emphasis on the age gap, who cares?

It’s the bragging about it (especially ON A DATE) that would put me off. The age of the other adult involved wouldn’t really bother me. And it probably isn’t even true. But the fact that a grown man would think this story was a) something to share with you in the first place and b) likely to impress you. He sounds like a middle-aged version of Jay from The Inbetweeners and that would instantly put me off him forever. He’s a pillock.
