Aibu to have not left DC in private schools. I aibu to have moved them back to state when I caught wind of the VAT to have been added on.

Aibu to now not be funding the additional needed state school teachers?

Sign yourself up for private school - can’t understand what you’ve written!

State school is actually proving better.

Give the school a nice big donation then.

Why? Will you?

As long as you don’t plan to homeschool I think you’ll be fine.

Maybe with the savings you have made you could get your children an English tutor

Twinklewonderkins · 01/08/2024 19:30

I’m hoping your DC’s previous super expensive private school gave them better English skills than you have.

IFollowRivers · 01/08/2024 19:30

Seems to me that you have lucked out by coming to your senses in this regard.

Do you want a badge?

Whine, whine, whine. If you can afford private school you can afford the VAT.
Enough of this bullshit.

More like too much wine 😆

It's five o'clock clock somewhere eh

Werweisswohin · 01/08/2024 19:06

No idea what you're trying to ask.

Beezknees · 01/08/2024 19:05

Yeah, course you have. It's so easy to find a state school place for multiple children within a couple of weeks.

I think your DD will be fine as long as you don’t decide to Home School - you OP makes no sense.

😂

And now your kids won't have teachers, like the rest of state school kids. 🤷‍♀️

HooverTheRoof · 01/08/2024 18:58

I'm not sure the number of kids that will be pulled out of private and put into state schools is as significant as their parents seem to think it is. Honestly, no one cares.

ilovesooty · 01/08/2024 18:54

I don't understand what you're on about but I couldn't care less where you send your children to be educated.

I voted you are being unreasonable for being a goady gobshite who started a thread to wind people up.

Ah so you sent your kids to private school to save state schools. What a saint you are. Most people send their kids to private school because of all the advantages it buys them. You probably weren't even aware of that though.

I think it would be a real shame if you've taken your kids out of their school just to make some sort of point OP.

Absolutely!
I doubt it’s true though - people make up all sorts of nonsense on the internet.

StripyHorse · 01/08/2024 18:48

Your children, your decision.

YABU if you are taking your children out of the school they are settled in just to make a point.

YANBU to move schools because you cannot afford it, or feel your children's needs will be better met elsewhere.

ThursdayTomorrow · 01/08/2024 18:48

We welcome you to the state school system. We have plenty of space and I’m sure you will enhance any state school you are involved with…

I think you have main character syndrome, you might wanna get that checked out op.

fortheveryfirsttime · 01/08/2024 18:42

More absolutely pointless wanging on about fucking VAT. It's so boring.

Most of us have more urgent issues than fucking private schools.
