I don’t know why I feel weirded out, but today I got a message on WhatsApp from an ex colleague, the message was a 2 minute long blank video where there was just a bunch of noise. Followed by a message that just said “p#*”

I haven’t had a message from this person in nearly 2 years, what should I make of this?

My thing is, if they picked dialled me how would that be easy being that they haven’t messaged me in 2 years

I 'sent' a similar WhatsApp to my daughter only this morning...phone was in my jeans back pocket - she instantly messaged back with: 'You've either been kidnapped or butt-dialled me...I'll go with the second option as you're not that valuable to a kidnapper! 🤣' (she's right 😁)

I expect you've been similarly messaged 👌🏻

I once sent a friend a perfect recording of a toilet flushing. Fortunately not the lead up to the flush.

It’s just a pocket dial 🤷🏼‍♀️

They've possibly been hacked/spammed. I'd delete it incase it contains a virus.

Sounds like a butt dial... I'd just message saying " hey stranger is all OK? Or a butt dial?" And see what they say back

Eyelinerwonky · 28/07/2024 18:04

Could it be a pocket shuffle? Not sure as don’t have the WhatsApp.

Secondguess · 28/07/2024 18:04

I'd expect that you've been pocket-dialled.
