Admitting to killing his sister and getting away with it

I could weep after reading this. But mostly I’m just angry. How in gods name has this happened? I know some don’t like DM links but the facts are that a man punched his sister in the head, killing her, and admitted doing so yet will face no charges. Sickening.

Usually in a case like this the family of the victim push for sentencing. Obviously that’s not happening in this case.

This.

It's bad enough that that poor little girl's family value her life so cheaply, but apparently the CPS do too. Many men have been prosecuted for drunken fights or road rage incidents etc which have resulted in deaths, no matter if there were underlying medical conditions or reduced capacity of the killer or whatever else. So why does the CPS not prosecute a man who admitted hitting a child for no reason?

MintyCedric · 24/07/2024 07:54

The should be charging her so called parents with perverting the course of justice as well.

FFS.

From a factual point of view.....

To prosecute the CPS need to believe there's a greater than 50% chance of securing a conviction.

The fact she may have been hit by the door, medical evidence that underlying condition, the fact that it was three weeks before she died and the family's apparent reluctance to give evidence or allow minor children to be interviewed all mean the 50% test is not satisfied.

They have a clear admission of guilt in his own words that a grown man punched a child in the head and she collapsed afterward, as well as other phone evidence. The fact that the family didn't cooperate with officers should also be a red flag.

One punch man-slaughter/murders are very common. They usually take place outside pubs and they always get prosecuted.

I thought the story sounded suspicious right from the start - I remember it being reported then as she had ‘fainted’ and hit her head which seemed such an unlikely freak accident www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12122939/amp/Family-pay-tribute-girl-11-died-fainting-hitting-head-bathroom.html

timenowplease · 24/07/2024 07:37

Two tier policing. They have his own admission that he punched her.

Muslim girls are disposable.

I have just read this absolutely abhorrent. I initially thought it was another child that was the perpetrator. Not a grown adult.
That poor child.
Not a fan of that rag, but the family are basically covering it up is the gist of it.
Glad it's been reported.
He's the half brother so a step child to one of the parents. Why would a step parent help to cover up their own childs murder?
He has admitted it in text messages. Why are the police/cps not pursuing this??

"Not a fan of this rag"? Would you be OK if the Guardian had reported it? It hasn't BTW.

SouthernFashionista · 24/07/2024 07:23

Is there anything that we can do?

I'm an idiot - just read that the police have reopened the case. Sounds as though this is thanks to the coroner's diligence.

pilates · 24/07/2024 07:19

Another girl who doesn't matter to muslim men.

Disgusting

NigelHarmansNewWife · 24/07/2024 07:17

I hope the new Home Secretary has another look at this case.

Natsku · 24/07/2024 07:17

I also don't understand why they aren't prosecuting. He confessed in writing, surely that alone is enough to take it to prosecution?!
And its unbelievable that the police can be prevented from speaking to the two witnesses

Chester23 · 24/07/2024 07:15

This makes no sense to me. Why would it matter if they think there was a medical condition?

Where I live someone hit someone. He ended up in hospital and he had a known medical condition. They guy that hit him admitted to hitting him. Unfortunately this guy passed away in hospital. The charge was changed to manslaughter and he's in prison.

Is this not the same situation but it's a child?

Bugsbunnycoco · 24/07/2024 07:14

I highly doubt that it’s due to fear of “Racism” How can there be a fear of being accused of racism if racism still exists?

And the fact that the family protected their precious son, and were allowed to do so. Guess the police know the community will round on them and riot like the other lot did. No justice at all for that poor little girl, and her family are pieces of shit.

lollipoprainbow · 24/07/2024 06:58

Bagpuss2022 · 24/07/2024 00:33

Absolutely disgusting poor poor girl also why are the two younger children not being removed by SS? Surly they are a danger their sister was killed by a adult brother.

You saw what happened in hare hills recently?? There's no way police or ss are going to risk another riot.

WillimNot · 24/07/2024 06:49

Another sign that females are of no importance.

The fact the parents would not allow anyone in authority to speak to their other children speaks volumes. Why no social services intervention in that detail?

I remember my DS got the arse when he was about 6 and phoned 999, drop calling. Police turned up and I apologised profusely and explained he was ND.

They didn't want to hear from me I had to get both DC to speak to two very pushy police officers, which ended up upsetting DS (who never called again).

They didn't take a no from me and no one had been killed in our house, so why was this family allowed to deny access to their DC?

It's manslaughter at the very least. And the parents should be charged with causing or allowing the death of a child surely?

No justice for this poor child.

BlackShuck3 · 24/07/2024 00:02

The males of the family closing ranks and covering each others backs. They want to make sure they can carry on treating women girls like rubbish so that they can never be a threat to male dominance.
How can this stand up? Dont we have laws in our country, arent we supposed to be civilised. Why do we tolerate this primitive tribal mindset?

There is evidence of the mother and grandmother closing ranks and covering up the crime. There may be male figures involved but there are plenty of toxic females as well.
As for the lack of concern for that child's life, it is Rochdale, it all seems a part of a pattern in the UK.

At the very least he admitted to punching an 11yr old in the head and she ended up dead. He could have been charges with ABH I would have thought. I saw this yesterday and was absolutely disgusted. Poor girl, you would have thought her life was worth something to her own parents.

If he'd lunches bloke on the street who hit his head & ended up dead the police would doo something

whatafaf · 24/07/2024 06:22

biscuitandcake · 24/07/2024 02:47

I hope the girlfriend (whom he texted his confession to) is OK and doesn't suffer any negative consequences from the CPSs crapness. Reading between the lines it sounds like she did the right thing by the little girl. It's awful if she made the (difficult but 100% morally correct) choice to report and the police did fuck all.

Unfortunately we don't know if the girlfriend reported him. The text messages may simply have been uncovered from his phone in the investigation. I hope she is okay and I hope if she didn't report it that it didn't come from a choice to protect him like his parents.

Chickenuggetsticks · 24/07/2024 05:55

The fact that a grown man punched his little sister in the head and his parents instinct is to protect him suggests to me that he has been violent before towards her. You don’t go from zero to punching a child in the head. I literally don’t have the words, I am just so utterly disgusted by this.

You can also do both, you can love your son despite him being scum and expect that he’ll take the consequences of his actions.

They may as well legalise violence towards girls and women, it’s practically legal already.

Savemydrink · 24/07/2024 05:48

Birdseyetrifle · 23/07/2024 22:39

Sadly it doesn’t surprise me that they are protecting the male in this situation rather than getting justice.
