Why does his Google history show he was at an industrial estate at night

Last night I was on Dh’s phone-not snooping…initially at least. I was turning lullaby music off that he and our dc had fallen asleep to.
It showed the travel history of where he’d been/been driving etc. I just thought it was quite interesting at first, don’t think I have it on my phone or if I do, no idea how to access it! I started looking and it was all pretty boring-travel to work, certain shops, cafes etc, a friends house. One entry from last Sunday shows him going out in the evening driving for 30 minutes, it says here no location/location not shown. Then from around 10.30-11.30 pm, it shows a location and when I looked at it, it’s an industrial estate. This is really strange isn’t it?! Making me so paranoid, what would you make of it?

Don’t go off the deep end just yet OP. That locations app isn’t always entirely accurate.

Absolutely this, it's all a bit OTT, maybe he just wanted a bit of time to himself? I used to do that years ago before I had my son, just head off & park up somewhere (albeit NOT an industrial estate) & stuff my face in peace & quiet
I mean it could be prostitues/drugs/dogging/furries/whatver you're having yourself but the only way to know is by asking him

She says shes not in UK. UK industrial estates have kebab vans and hookers but if shes in somewhere like in Dubai its not going to be the same is it.

LittleGreenDuck · 06/07/2024 17:37

Kebab van was my first thought, I have obviously have an innocent mind!

RolyPolyBatFacedGirll · 06/07/2024 17:37

With the best will on the world, nobody here can answer this for you. We don't know your husband and you do. And you clearly think he has form for being up to no good.

This could be anything from just aimlessly driving about or parking up for a bit of peace and a takeaway to meeting a drugs warlord or random tinder women.

My point is - nobody knows. Your only options are to sit tight for now and keep an eye on it or - and I'd do this - talk to him. Hes your husband

And if you don't want to talk to him and ask him, that's probably your answer

My boyfriend was disappearing in the evening for a while too, going out for 'walks' when he's not usually much of a walker.

He was fighting a load of 12 year olds' pokemon at a local 'gym' or whatever they are called. I wish I'd never asked.

OneTC · 06/07/2024 17:36

My timeline says I've been to somewhere in Netherlands I've never heard of and apparently once walked in a perfectly straight line across Brecon beacon

mommatoone · 06/07/2024 17:36

OP - If this is normal behaviour for your Dp to nip out at night, do you not have a genera1l conversation the next day about it? Ie - how was his mate he went to visit etc?

HarryKanesDrool · 06/07/2024 17:35

What country is it? 4 pages of UK-centric advice is an irrelevance.

Winter2020 · 06/07/2024 17:35

Depending on his hobbies an industrial estate could have a 24hr gym/boxing gym/ music studio/food.

He could have bought drive thru food or snacks and pulled over to eat it - or as someone else suggested his phone rang znd he pulled over.

Or the location could be wrong.

I think your choices are to ask your husband about it or do further snooping on his phone - text messages,/WhatsApps etc.

Ghostgirl77 · 06/07/2024 17:35

My ex was going out for “walks” late in the evening to similar places for an hour or two at a time. Turned out he was meeting blokes off Grindr for sex.

AInightingale · 06/07/2024 17:34

Could it be something like one of those 24 hour gym/fitness places where you let yourself in? Some of them on industrial estates for the cheap rental I'd assume. But I can't see why he wouldn't be upfront about that.

It sounds like a "massage" parlour

2ndMrsdeWinter · 06/07/2024 17:32

Maybe a friend is going thorough challenging time and asked to meet somewhere private for a chat.

DrFoxtrot · 06/07/2024 17:32

Bizarre suggestion but does he have Pokémon Go? I often drive to random places to sit for a while spinning stops and catching the Pokémon 😳.

I agree with PP that sometimes locations are not that precise.

Otherstories2002 · 06/07/2024 17:32

I immediately thought of dogging.

Nachosanddips · 06/07/2024 17:31

I can’t follow him as I’m home with my dd

Is it really that weird to nip out to a friends house sometimes? I didn’t realise it was that strange, same as going for a drink at the pub in a way 🤷🏻‍♀️

Flat tyre? Car issues?

OP people want to ruin your marriage!!

Location is not always accurate at all!

This. The point is, do you trust him? Maybe he just likes to go for a walk to clear his head. Snooping on his phone is a no no trust wise.

Catnipcupcakes · 06/07/2024 17:30

Ask him.

My bet is that he was seeing a prostitute though. Sorry OP.

Starseeking · 06/07/2024 17:30

There must be some other weird behaviour from your DH to cause you to worry like this.

Not for you to answer on the thread, but has he been distant lately? Not engaging in family life? Being off with you? Thinking about the answers to those questions to yourself honestly may help you to figure out if there are issues which would point to suspicious behaviour.

Reugny · 06/07/2024 17:29

InterIgnis · 06/07/2024 17:18

This. At the bottom of Google search I remember there used to be a note as to your location, and mine was often 20+ miles out.

Mine sometimes says I've been on a drive to somewhere for up to 20 hours when I've been on a 30 minute walk or a bus/tube /train to somewhere completely different and returned home.

Drowningincokezero · 06/07/2024 17:29

I've been known to drive out to somewhere and have a long and undisturbed phonecall with family or friends. Perhaps check his call log to see if that's what he'd done?

BileBeansSara · 06/07/2024 17:29

Could you pretend to be asleep and then follow him next time?

Is there any evidence of calls to a prostitute?
