Filthy food habit… and what’s yours?

Not talking Biscoff straight from the jar here… its so low-level I’m compelled to post (with NC) so to expose the guilt/be shamed out of it.

Maggi noodles eaten dry, from the packet, with the seasoning sprinkled into them. Preferably chow mein flavour. But eaten in bed. Last night the flavouring went on my sheets which may or may not have been a turning point.

What’s your secret filthy food habit?

I always have a jar of gherkins in the fridge, and a pack of pastrami. Roll a gherkin in a slice of pastrami and eat 😋.

Some things seem pretty tame though.

I used to love eating the 'fresh' pasta you get with a filling (favourite one, mushroom) uncooked. With oven chips. Cooked. Not that wacky I guess.

I did eat budget noodles raw before, they're like crisps, lol. The Thai restaurant I like has a dish with a big pile of crispy noodles on top and it's the same thing, surely?

I love to nibble on an oxo cube.

And also, when I cook sausages I always bite the end off and eat it raw-it's like pate.

We should create a recipe book 😂

This reminds me of ice cream sandwiches too - buttered slice of cheap white bread folded over cheap vanilla ice cream

It is my mum who does it. One time, she said she overdid it and had a massive coughing fit.

Saying that, I love to drink the vinegar form jars of pickled onions.

My Grandad talked fondly of 'coni-oni' butties in his youth - thick slice pf bread with condensed tinned milk!

Oh I just remembered getting them as a mega treat as a child.
I love kraft pkt cheese pasta made up but really dry between 2 slices of crap white bread and butter .

Fair play to your mum, just reading that gave me heartburn so I don’t know how she manages it! 😂 I’ve never seen the word posts used to describe eating something before but I think I’m going to have to start using it. 😁

When I was a child my mother would go to the local VG & buy a quarter of long green back. I think it was basically back bacon but it had rind on & she would trim it off & some would get thrown out for the birds & my sisters & I would munch on the rest.

@ForestForever OMG!!! I have found my food / flat juice soul mate!! 😂 even better with the giant wostits, I always have an open bag on the go near my tumble dryer and when I’m about half way through the next bag gets opened. Even with the fizzy juice, I have a marker in the drawer next to the fridge and mark mine with a “M” so the rest know it’s mine 😂

You don’t happen to like frozen chips straight from the freezer as well do you? That may be a step too far for you lol 😅
