My DD has been diagnosed with PVF after suffering from glandular fever and hepatitis in January. She's still suffering with all the symptoms and trying to do her A levels. It's awful.

@Cloud44 I'm on about 6 or 7 weeks now😥

Cloud44 · 27/05/2024 18:34

Did you take it three times every day @MrsPelligrinoPetrichor ? How long was it before you started to notice some positive differences in how you felt?

Just absolutely wiped out. Some low level pain, a bit feverish sometimes, but I think I could ignore that if I had any energy to get up and about. How are you?

Cloud44 · 27/05/2024 17:54

How are you feeling @OliveK , what are your symptoms?

@weegiemum that's awful I'm sorry.

In fact sorry for everyone who isn't well, it's shite indeed!

weegiemum · 26/05/2024 21:00

I have an autoimmune illness and so every virus sets me back. I've been lucky to avoid Covid, but a couple of weeks ago I picked up a UTI and am now back in a wheelchair as I was a few months back.

Even people who know me quite well don't get it. A virus can really takes away my function. I lose mobility, brainpower, even continence. It's a huge pile of shite!

Cbljgdpk · 26/05/2024 20:57

I took lots of berocca after having Covid to feel more with it; few weeks to feel totally fine I think

OliveK · 26/05/2024 20:48

@wizarddry I'm scared to ask, but how long is ages?

Long covid they weren't even interested until it had been 3 months I think. It eventually got a lot better at 8 months when ironically I'd caught covid again but really rested. I do have a history of ME.

Maneandfeathers · 26/05/2024 20:54

I recently was diagnosed with this. It took about 3 months to feel normal but I felt much improved after 2 months. Then once I felt good again all my hair fell out which apparently is also another common symptom post viral fatigue 😡

OliveK · 26/05/2024 20:48

@wizarddry I'm scared to ask, but how long is ages?

wizarddry · 26/05/2024 17:39

Depends. I had long covid which took AGES to get over. A normal virus probably about half as long as I had the virus for. Trick is to take it steady and not think horray I'm getting better ill push myself up a hill etc. Treat it as part of the virus

OliveK · 26/05/2024 17:26

Following with interest..feeling rotten!

Cloud44 · 26/05/2024 16:51

Thank you, how long does it normally take you to start feeling half normal again?!

I often get this and what helps me is keeping on top of the vitamins. C, Zinz, D, magnesium, iron.
