They have always been inclusive of biological women who identify as trans men and also non binary.

But allowing men who identify as women into their sessions whilst vulnerable women are learning how to breastfeed? Seriously? And what about women like myself from a faith that doesn't permit men to be in intimate spaces with women? What about women like myself who are survivors of domestic abuse who had to learn to breastfeed whilst making symptoms of PTSD.
I don't want biological males hijacking these services for women!!!! It makes me feel unsafe, traumatised and afraid for my daughters.

Why is LLL suddenly falling over themselves to accommodate men with fetishes for lactation?

I feel like I'm going crazy when I read what's happening to places like LLL and Girl Guides.

Why are people so dangerously naive now?

I only produced very small amounts of milk due to PCOS and had to supplement with formula. Should I not have bothered?

Which is completely different and you know it.

WomanInGrey · 14/11/2024 06:59

This has turned into a discussion of men’s rights.

I resigned from LLL several years ago, because I believed that this policy would disadvantage women and babies, as the cost of including trans women.

My focus is on the mother baby dyad, at one of the most vulnerable times in their lives, and what’s best for them. There is no advantage to them to including strange men. There may be an advantage for individuals to involve their DH, and LLL meetings (in my experience) cater to that without involving the man in the main meeting.

JellySaurus · 14/11/2024 06:52

I just don't believe that a man with a fetish would go to the length of literally transitioning which takes years, having top or bottom surgery, taking estrogen to alter their bodies and voices, having their own baby and then inducing lactation with a hormonal protocol.

You are naive. Men go to huge amounts of effort and invest massively in order to realise their fetishes.

The sheer amount of effort that would take surely makes it obvious that only actual transwomen with a genuine want to feed their baby would do it.

No matter how genuine a mother's want to breastfeed her baby, no matter what enormous efforts she puts into breastfeeding, feeding a baby is about what is best for the baby, not for the mother. Actual women with a genuine want to feed their baby, don't breastfeed, or stop breastfeeding, when the medications they are taking may be harmful to their baby.

Oh the good old transphobe insult. Waah I'm so offended. Its actually more insulting to class men who want to shove their nipples into children's mouths alongside 'other minorities' as you put it.

Oh yeah it never happens does it, along with all the other werid things men like that do which never happens.

Blurred was repulsive enough thank you.

You literally can't see it blurred 🙄

I know you're not offended. You clearly don't give a shit. And I'm not insulting you I'm pointing out a fact. You can disagree with someone or their behaviour without using disgusting insulting language about them, which is where the phobia comes in.

Brieandcamembert · 14/11/2024 06:46

I saw the phrase "birthing person" yesterday. My mind was blown.

BalletCat · 14/11/2024 06:45

Ereshkigalangcleg · 14/11/2024 00:50

I agree it's disgusting

Why? Surely it's just a "trans woman" feeding a child in a natural womanly way?

Your cognitive dissonance must be tough to live with.

That picture is disgusting because it's clearly not just a trans woman trying to feed her baby in a natural womanly way. It's clearly over sexualised. It's also clearly an example that was chosen to offend people and prove it is a fetish. No cognitive dissonance here. I agreed with PPs that some people will be weirdos with fetishes but I don't believe they're the ones that are going to be asking for support at a LLL meeting.

goldenshred · 14/11/2024 01:02

BalletCat · 14/11/2024 00:30

So you're a transphobe.

Do you hate other minorities too?

No one made you look at the picture, it's literally blurred out. You viewed it by choice. I agree it's disgusting but it's not a realistic representative of the trans women who would want to attend a breast feeding support group. No one on this thread has managed to produce evidence of an oversexed pornified cross dressing man crashing an LLL meeting to satisfy a fetish.

Is it even possible, even with all the meds in the world for a biological male to produce milk like a woman does?

No. They may be able to stimulate themselves to produce a bit but it's not likely to be enough to sustain an infant. The claimed "evidence" that said males do is very dubious.

WomanXXWorldsOriginsofMothersofAllNations · 14/11/2024 00:48

@BalletCat That's just made up bullshit.

Here you go... and in his own words.

Trans woman wants uterus transplant to ‘have an abortion’
“A trans activist has posted a video on Twitter expressing their wish to have a uterus transplant in order to become the “first trans woman” to have an abortion.”

I would call that human trafficking.

Stop sucking up to nonces.

Women who produce a small amount of breast milk and also use formula are nothing to do with men, penis chopped off or not as only a man can have a penis removed, who want to abuse babies by putting them on their nipples.

The picture on this thread is absolutely repulsive and I could of done without seeing a child abuse image.

That poor child.

Re smears, that already happens for neo vaginas.

From memory there is a transwoman who wants a uterus implant, so he can get pregnant and be the first transwoman to get an abortion.

I don't think anything is off limits.

And as I don't have Layla Morans' amazing ability to see the souls of TruTrans I'm afraid I cannot detect the difference between a poor transwoman "living their lives as 'women'" and 'just random men that are waltzing in off the street' so all men can go set up their own groups.

That's just made up bullshit. I can only find any info about that on the Toronto Sun and it's even called out as being a fake video created to spark outrage there. No reputable sources have reported on this being a real intention.

BalletCat · 13/11/2024 23:29

The trans woman I know adopted her baby because after having surgery and taking hormones for years she was no longer fertile as a man. It's perfectly valid for a trans person to adopt a baby., surely you wouldn't call adopting not having your own baby?

sorry but any transwomen who wants to be a part of a breastfeeding class is there to satisfy a fetish, there is no other reason.

I am waiting for the first transwomen to demand a smear test.

Sorry I should have wrote trans women not transwomen. My bad

What am I bringing 3 children into

Redgreenred10 · 13/11/2024 23:44

Like a poster said I know quite a few transwomen and most of them want to live their live quietly. Two of them of good friends and they actually want all this nonsense to die down so they can get on with their lives. They say all this activists are making life more difficult for them.

The other three I knew I used to know though work as we were a diversity charity- well let’s just say a would not have trusted them in a women’s space and would not have been at all happy to have them in a changing room or a breastfeeding group with me.

You know if you went and used 'transwoman' rather than 'trans woman' on social media the people you're defending here would tear you apart for transphobia?

What's your point?

Should I throw them to the dogs and agree with everyone here that they're just evil perverts?

The trans women I know would not lose their minds over there not being a space where the should be one or turn on allies they desperately need in society.

Do you know any trans people personally or do you just believe the insane hysteria the media is whipping up? They're just normal people who want to live as the opposite gender. They're not the bloody boogeyman

Yes I do know several trans people personally. It was someone very close to me transitioning that opening my eyes to the misogyny and toxicity of this ideology.

Having a middle aged male sitting in your living room in a pink crop top saying that he's actually a teenage girl as he's just going through puberty is a bit of an eye opener. And the rest.

I'm sure it is! That has not been my experience of trans women though! The trans women I know just want to live their lives quietly and be accepted.

Exactly. People go to all sorts of weird lengths to fulfil their fetishes. I remember watching a documentary about a man who was imprisoned for eating another man, he'd met him on the Internet. One got turned on by eating human flesh, the other being eaten. I'd say that's more extreme that 'transitioning'. You can tell the difference between those who have gender dysphoria and those who have a kink for dressing up as women by whether the images they post of themselves are pornified or not. Many of them are.

I agree that you can tell the difference between people with gender dysphoria and people who have a kink for cross dressing easily.

Has anyone actually witnessed OTT pornified men crashing LLL meetings?

BalletCat · 13/11/2024 23:18

Barbie222 · 13/11/2024 22:58

What @Jollyjoy said. If the main aim of this was actually feeding your baby, you'd choose to bottle feed. The cases I've read about, the baby is always being bottle fed as well as not enough milk can ever be made.

The sheer amount of effort that would take surely makes it obvious that only actual transwomen with a genuine want to feed their baby would do it.

Not sure 'effort' is the right word when all the steps involved in the process of 'becoming a woman' are gratifying?

I put a lot of effort into breast feeding my baby but still had to use bottles and formula due to low supply. Did that make my effort pointless?

My main aim was always to feed my baby, but I wanted to breast feed. Combi feeding is completely valid. Not being able to EBF is not a good argument against attempting to breast feed
