Definitely wears Birkenstocks and linen

No Birkenstocks in this weather! I have a pair of them and a few pairs of linen trousers although they were only from Sainsbury's years ago.

Spits her tea out laughing at a mildly amusing comment she reads on mn.
Not sociable at all, will tell anyone prepared to listen (online) that she is an introvert.
Hates her MIL as she tried to remain close to her son.
Absolutely will not attend close relatives wedding as it is child free and believes everyone should be thrilled at the thought of spending an evening with her delightful offspring.
Teetotal/very rarely drinks and happily advises anyone that drinks more than half a glass of wine a week that they are alcohol dependent.
Definitely doesn't want to get pregnant before they are 35 so they can make the mn 6 figure salary but then starts a thread wondering if they are too old despite everyone they know having their first baby at 40...
Spends all day unshowered in their pjs before changing into expensive trendy gym wear to pick the kids up.
Despite the lack of showers, always has hair, eyebrows, lashes and nails done.

Creates bias or potentially manipulates the respondents into ‘ taking their side ‘ when giving examples of DH behaviour followed by ‘ be kind’ ‘ hand hold’ ‘ in a bad place’
not getting a balanced response at all

Has gone NC with every single relative on both sides of the family and is currently "Gray Rocking" her DH, but is devastated when nobody makes a fuss over her birthday.

Yes! I forgot the grey 🪨!

And curiously this is a MN certified relationship manoeuvre despite the fact that passive aggressive is a no-no. I always have this suspicion that the line possibly becomes blurred in the implementation phase.

Pairs a statement shoe, with a wide leg trouser and a bright lip.

Never shoes, trousers or lips, plural.

Moreorlessmentallystable · 03/05/2024 14:34

Has a strained relationship with MIL but still uses her for childcare.
Has a useless DH but would comment LTB every time an OP moans about their DH.
Eats a big salad for lunch every day and doesn't eat dinner as she's too full from said salad.
Hates the patriarchy but married a well to do guy who is willing to work full time so she can do part time.

What's that got to do with appalling grammar? 😄

I know my grammar is off you're not the first to quote me on it.

All look 10-15 years younger than they are.

This whole thread is derogatory.

Loves the feign offence at the slightest thing, looks for all the negatives in life, must be miserable to live with.

Isn't big knockers just code for fat?

I’m not sure it is really. I know quite a few chubbier ladies with rather small scone-like boobs.

Whydoikeeprejoining · 03/05/2024 12:50

Calliopespa · 03/05/2024 12:47

Still haven’t heard how we know mners all have big knockers.

Yes someone said big norks earlier. Very random 😂
Tits could be smaller and I do like a massive salad.

Knickers, not knockers !

Yes!

(D) Many are incapable of putting their knockers on without asking for advice on MN!
(E) Lots read the Daily Mail avidly, as they always seem to know what's in it.

Taking 5 years to finish putting sequins on a jacket for the era's tour 😜

TBH i do actually like that thread

hotpotlover · 03/05/2024 10:52

I don't think there is an average mumsnetter.

You get a lot of nasty replies on threads, but I find mumsnet quite fascinating and useful.

It doesn't matter how niche and specific your question is, very soon someone who works in that particular area or has knowledge will be along to give you free, in-depth online advice 😊

Rookangaroo4 · 03/05/2024 10:32

I do t think there is an average mumsnetter. I see people from all walks of life on here. I think in general because it’s anonymous most people are a lot more honest and the judgements they keep well hidden in real life comes out in full force on mumsnet.

TeenDivided · 03/05/2024 10:30

I think the average mum on MN depends on which board you read most.

On the SN boards the average mum has one child or more with SN, will be busy fighting for the help their child needs, possibly also trying to hold down a job but finding it hard due to needs of child.

On the education boards there is a clear skew towards mums of highly able kids who are highly invested in their children's education.

etc.

earther · 03/05/2024 10:29

Having a baby under 35 is a no no having a baby in your 20s you missed all your youth apparently.
Having a baby at 45-50 some sound like its the coming of christ burned out cant cope husbands a sod want a divorce hes not doing enough ex husband not paying enough.

Oh and the molly cuddling and two faceness on MN sometimes is unreal.
