Travelling home from holiday last week and these were the prices at the airport McDonalds!

22 Euros for a double Big Mac meal!

Anyone want to guess which airport? And is there a more expensive McDonald’s out there?

Geneva

Switzerland don't use Euros.

Would Dalaman not use the Turkish Lira though?

Not in the international terminal. That's where all the holidaymakers fly in and out of, so having the prices of everything in Euros makes more sense. Not just the McDonald's, it's nearly all shops in the terminal.

teaandtoastwithmarmite · 17/04/2024 23:27

We went to Burger King at corfu airport and it was around €25 for a meal!

redastherose · 17/04/2024 23:25

WildImaginings · 17/04/2024 23:23

Geneva?

TokyoSushi · 17/04/2024 23:15

We spent over £60 on 4 'normal' meals in Geneva airport, so maybe there if you're on the French side?

Weirdly Dublin is one of the cheapest places for mickey d’s!!! Another that thinks it’s a Nordic country

Avocadocream · 17/04/2024 22:53

Agree with the Dalaman comments.

Pineapplemonkey · 17/04/2024 22:49

Gotta be Dalaman, paid nearly £40 for 2 extra value meals there and it was nearly 17 years ago, but you don’t forget that!

mitogoshi · 17/04/2024 22:48

@RadoxMoon

Helsinki wasn't as expensive as expected, don't think there's a McDonald's at the airport, only saw Burger King. But top tip for anyone flying from Helsinki, buy sandwiches before entering the airport they just didn't have many options and Finn Air makes Ryan airs food offering look amazeGrin

MyBrownEyedHandsomeBoy · 17/04/2024 22:46

Schipol

RadoxMoon · 17/04/2024 22:45

Helsinki? Just on the grounds Nordic countries are known for being pricey and I don’t think any of the others use the Euro.

Or Dubrovnik?

AnImaginaryCat · 17/04/2024 22:42

Or maybe Amsterdam
