Aibu to ask if you have a famous DH

Does it bother you? I have a semi famous DH, he gets paid to gig and go on podcasts etc if we go out locally he does get asked for selfies so we tend to go away for weekends as a family.

I do find it slightly annoying but I guess it pays the bills 💃

A former colleague of mine was going out with (and is now married to) the DJ David Holmes.

Is your DH more or less famous than David Holmes?
I'd give David Holmes:
5/10 for international fame.
1/10 for recognisability
9/10 for local fame in NI.
10/10 for famous associations.
10/10 for film soundtracks.
4/10 for recent festivals
0/10 for school disco appeal

I highly doubt OP will tell us…

but… he’s prob not Judge Jules, Jeremy Healey etc, and the mainstream big DJs (much though OP probably would love to think he is). A few of them are sadly dead too (Paul Trouble Anderson for one). And same again, why is she bothered about us knowing? I mean I really don’t give a shit if she knows people who I well not exactly know but know people who know them. To me they’re just people and any celeb status is neither here nor there to me.

I forgot. I worked for our lawyers and one of our clients was a glamourous woman who did work with F1 teams (maybe she encountered Horner?!) anyway her DH was some sort of minor DJ. It was quite funny though as one time she came to our offices to see our divorce lawyer to ask about the possibility of a divorce (her DH was obvs blissfully unaware) and she lived not far from me too.

My mum always said we were descended from Prussian Royalty. Unfortunately Prussia is no longer a country to there goes that claim to fame.

let’s hope none of the OPs husbands fans get wind of the disco and turn up en masse. Maybe the 200£ is for security? If I heard fat boy slim was djing at a local school I’d be there for sure.

Surely you just swallow the costs for the sake of your kids school. Especially if you are a high earning DJ. I can't get my head round charging for something like that. Where has the £200 come from? He's doing a kids disco, surely it's pretty basic. He isn't headlining Glasto. If he's charging for his time that's tight as fuck.
