Aibu to ask if you have a famous DH

Does it bother you? I have a semi famous DH, he gets paid to gig and go on podcasts etc if we go out locally he does get asked for selfies so we tend to go away for weekends as a family.

I do find it slightly annoying but I guess it pays the bills 💃

Enjoy it while it lasts. I have a friend who is married to a bloke who was a regular in a show which was on telly through the 90s and early 00s. He’s a total has-been now, hasn’t worked in over 10 years other than a couple of episodes of Casualty, barely anyone recognizes him anymore and she’s been having to support him ever since.

Was this guy in Coronation St? Think I know who it may be if his initials are S.A?

If we are talking claims to fame, we have a lovely couple come in every week at ten past two, on the dot. Do their shopping, get their lottery and leave. They were roadies with Status Quo for donkeys years. I was a bit sceptical when I was told but did a bit of googling and sure enough, they were! You really wouldnt believe it to look at them, just goes to show!

I have 3 claims to fame: I once met a bloke at a public library in Newcastle who said he was a roadie for Shakin' Stevens. He said he'd put me on the guest list at the door so I could get in free and stay for the after party. I was only 13 though and my mum wouldn't let me go.

In the 90s I worked with a very famous barrister who used to get drunk, tie his tie around his head and tell the ladies he was Prince Harry.

In the country where I live now, we have a tiny holiday home (shack). One of the neighbours is an extremely famous retired politician. He is obsessed with Smints.

One of my closest friend married a man who became very (internationally) famous and rich during their marriage.

As she says, before it happened they were just a normal couple with kids, living a nice life. They werent massively well off but were comfortable.

Then it took off, he turned into an asbolute arsehole who believed his own press, treated her and the kids as his entourage/photo props. In the end he physically attacked her and the divorce was horrendous. His second wife is all about the money and the fame and absolutely LOATHES my friend, because she was in the papers etc with him first. We heard a rumour that it is her that keeps taking my friend off his Wiki page!! Friend hated all the fame that came with being his wife, says she is welcome to it.

Still, the press arent interested in her anymore and the kids are happy that they are pretty much anonymous as the second wife pushes her DD's (not his kids) to front. Also she did alright financially in the divorce so they have security without her having to worry.

Does your DH work in a bar? In Boston? Called ‘Cheers’? Is he Woody Harrelson or Ted Danson?

That’s what’s done her legs. The fact she told everyone he was charging his own kids primary school 200 quid to cover his time and his petrol money. And that she wanted to call another mum a cunt for suggesting the cinema instead and stealing his limelight.

It’s because it’s comical. I mean what international dj charges his kids school for petrol . 😂

in reality I think it’s sweet she is so impressed by her own husband, but she Really needs to calm herself down as no one is going to be impressed by a bloke who charges petrol money to get to his kids school and back.
