I am being catfished right now!

I received a friend request on Facebook just now. This is definitely someone catfishing me. He comes from Austin, Texas but has pigeon English. He is a Marine Engineer living in Sweden. He does a very dangerous job. He is a nice looking man, he has sent me a photo. He tragically lost his wife 5 years ago due to medical negligence. Am I wrong in stringing him alone?

The longer you string him along the less time he has to find a vulnerable woman who might fall for his BS.

Plus it'll entertain us 🤪

i enjoyed a nice chat with a man calling about the ‘car accident’ I had last year. I described ‘the accident’ in a lot of detail for him, and he was ever so kind about it all, I think he got suspicious and hung up after I told him that auntie Mary’s head had fallen right off and never been found 🤣

You realise that the person who sent the message could well have been trafficked and is being held as a modern slave in a scam centre right?

How do people fall for it though? I've told him I have this fantastic job and earn a lot of money. I'm just waiting for the request for money. A great love has been missing in this life until now. It must be fate. I have never had anyone fall in love with me after five texts!

Has he got a child aged about eight who needs a mother but who is happy at boarding school so will be no bother?

And did his late wife bequeath him a briefcase which has something valuable in it but he has to pay for the paperwork to get the briefcase sent to him/you?

No, you must. It’s a service to keep him busy!

We had someone call and say they found a rental car on the border of Mexico with blood, guns and drugs in it and it had been rented in my husbands name. Multiple “detectives” on the call. I think they claimed to be Texas rangers.

No! 😂😂🤣 Go for it! I had a long conversation last week with a man from hmrc saying I had to pay £5000 right now to avoid going to jail. I had loads of fun going to find my bank card, long pauses and telling him all of the numbers, inaudibly with one digit. Then saying I had a different account so I’d need a few more minutes to find it, etc.
