Do you sleep naked?

Was chatting with my friend and I mentioned how I sleep naked, she found this completely shocking which I found quite funny tbh 😂 so just wondered if I’m in the minority or not.

Yep I do, feels too restricting otherwise

Twiglets1 · 07/12/2023 07:21

Yes I sleep naked. When I occasionally have to wear nightwear like when sharing a bed with a friend I always wake up too hot.

TheChosenTwo · 07/12/2023 07:19

No clothes here. Hate the feeling of feeling constricted, also hate clothes wriggling about. I move a lot in my sleep.
There’s always a tshirt by the bed in case I need to vacate the house in the middle of the night in a fire.

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 07/12/2023 07:15

I’d feel really bleurgh if I slept without clothes on. I need pjs. Plus, I frequently wake up to one or both of my children in bed with us.

OrlandointheWilderness · 07/12/2023 07:03

Naked all the way for both DP and I. I've never liked clothes in bed.

DustyLee123 · 07/12/2023 07:00

I can’t sleep without knickers on, don’t know why, just can’t. And I wear a tight vest to hold my boobs up, else I end up lying on them!

WonderingWanda · 07/12/2023 06:58

No because I would be too cold to sleep.

Tryingtokeepcalmandcarryon · 07/12/2023 06:56

Definitely not, full PJs. Hate being naked, makes me feel vulnerable and embarrassed. I know it shouldn’t! And up and down at night with children then they get into our bed in the morning so it’s not practical either

autienotnaughty · 07/12/2023 06:48

How was SMA? I went to the last tour and loved it.

CeciledeVolangesdeNouveau · 07/12/2023 06:47

I sleep naked. I get very cold during the day as I’m underweight and for some reason not wearing clothes seems to transfer the heat to the duvet and blankets and I get warm. When I’m with DP we are often naked just so we can have a really close cuddle (skin on skin doesn’t just work for babies and parents) and again, so he can transfer some heat to me. He will just hang around naked in the day if there’s no chance anyone will see him as well. This country has a strange attitude to nudity.

Squirrelblanket · 07/12/2023 06:36

Yes in summer, usually a loose vest top in winter.

Sux2buthen · 07/12/2023 06:33

Yes but only because I can't stand it if seams of pyjamas aren't exactly where they should be or if I move and then I have to adjust them again to get them dead centre. Or if I become aware I can feel them.
I'm out of the bed a few times a night to unbunch the sheet. It's so fun 😫

MinnieMountain · 07/12/2023 06:25

I sleep naked. I leave my PJs next to the bed in case I need to go further than the bathroom or DS wants to get in my bed.
DH wears pants as DS is more likely to sneak into his bed during the night.

lovinglaughingliving · 07/12/2023 05:24

Always naked and have been since I could take my own jamas off.
If I stay at a friends I just wear pants.

shearwater2 · 07/12/2023 05:14

No, I have pjs even in summer.

ZoeyBartlett · 07/12/2023 05:11

Yes always. If it's really cold I put some bed socks on.

Spencer0220 · 07/12/2023 04:18

I sleep naked. I have since I was old enough to refuse pyjamas.

DH always wears shorts in case he has to answer the door. He keeps a top on bedside table.

If I'm not at home, I always wear a top. Even when in a care home. Just because staff would pop in and out.

Catsmere · 07/12/2023 04:09

Depends on the weather. I'm never really cold in bed, because Australian winters aren't that cold and I have a cat or two sleeping there even in the hottest weather. 🥵

TempestTost · 07/12/2023 02:38

Usually, unless it is deeply cold (more than about -150, or dh is away (I am more likely to be cold) or my daughter sleeps in with me (no need to traumatize the poor girl.)

I don't sleep well when I am dressed, it is too frinctiony. I don't know how this makes sense, since the bed-sheets are still on my skin, but it bothers me.

Stressybetty · 07/12/2023 02:21

DH sleeps naked and would love it if I did but it's not for me. Feels too cold and vulnerable. Unfortunately it means I'm the one who lets the dogs out and answers the door in the mornings as he has the excuse of being undressed. I'm bundled up in bed with t shirt, pj bottoms, thick socks and a lambswool v neck plus electric blanket on

LittleMissSunshiner · 07/12/2023 02:12

YANBU

I used to sleep naked when living with partners.

Not when sharing with flat mates, even so just thin flimsy things.

Then I had a series of emergencies and weird incidents, lots of them - fires, floods, cats fighting, police / ambulances - that triggered anxiety and made me realise that it serves a person well to be fully dressed in case of needing to run outside. Now I always sleep in knickers, thin bra top, thick PJ bottoms, t-shirts, hoodies, and socks! I'm ready to do a runner at a moments notice. Also I'm cozy and cant sleep without my hood up any more.

God help me if I get a partner again! My ex thought I was odd as I wanted to keep my socks on LOL

TheNestedIf · 07/12/2023 01:47

Draughty! 😬

EBearhug · 07/12/2023 01:46

There have been loads of threads on this in the past.

Usually naked, except when it cold enough to need pyjamas (like last week) or if I'm away from home.

Psychoticbreak · 07/12/2023 01:34

Yeah I do. I like to get up in the morning and put comfy clothes on and feel warmer then but certainly dont sleep in them.

OzziePopPop · 07/12/2023 01:33

DH and I both do, I’ll wear pjs if it’s incredibly cold, but the other 360 days a year I do without!
