My friend has his own shop where everything is hand made , he makes his own products and stocks hand made products for others as a collective,

He's just text me in a panic , a little old lady came in and bought these .....

He's now worrying in case it's the grandsons xmas present

I think xmas day could be interesting in one house in the north of England 😂🙈

To think my friend is going to hell

Um am I the only one person to reply who can conceive of a 90 year old woman not noticing that it says ur-anus rather than Uranus?

The impression I got from friend was that this particular woman had not got the joke and was buying them in innocence without realising the connotation.

He may well have been mistaken and she might be into anal, pegging and rimming with her significant other for whom they are intended.

😂😂😂

Yeah my bloodied stumps are making the keyboard hard to read

God, your posts, op 😂
You're all but stamping your little feet that nobody finds your thread as amusing as you do.

Speak for yourself. I appreciate it’s hard to talk while clutching your pearls so hard and also while being up so high on that massive horse but if OP is managing to type with her toes you can give it a go.

That’s hilarious!
But I do feel sorry for your DP, I too would feel awful.

I just hope they’re not a gift for her grandchild!

My Gran got me some questionable things in her old age but nothing like this fortunately.

Hopefully they are a gift for an adult and they’ll find it hilarious.

Although I have seen plenty of photos of elderly people wearing clothes with rude images on them and I really don’t think they know 😢

capabilityfrowns · 27/10/2023 18:53

I think everyone on here today is just gunning for a fight

Anyway I can't type very fast with my toes . I thought cutting my fingers off was a more permanent solution than sitting on my hands .

My Nan’s sense of humour got filthier with old age.

My FIL bought bought himself a Christmas jumper to wear. He didn't even notice that the reindeer pattern was actually of shagging reindeer! He'd even worn it to an old peoples lunch thing the day before 😂

If it's the grandson's Christmas present then it will generate some hilarious future Christmas memories! Perhaps it will even start a trend and the poor boy will be bought Uranus presents every year for the rest of his life!

I was laughing at the ur-anus. Then I was laughing even more at this. Brilliant!

LaMarschallin · 27/10/2023 18:46

I thought the same.
And full of self-pity.

My 80 year old Nan brought back presents for everyone from her many trips to Spain. One was a plastic willy magnet. In return I bought her a 10" erect penis lolly from the seaside. 80 is not synonymous for pure as the driven snow 😁😁😁

FatherJackHackettsUnderpantsHamper · 27/10/2023 18:43

I was in hospital recently and a lady in her 70s next to me had some of the nurses squealing at her: "What was the war like for you, luvvie?" in an effort to make conversation.
She wasn't bloody born.

I thought you were going to say she was like Betty from Chewin' The Fat!

My DA once bought my cousin a souvenir t-shirt from abroad that said 'Hard Cock Cafe' on it - he loved it but she was mortified when she read it properly!

Anyway, we should enjoy these kind of childish giggles whilst they last - according to Futurama a documentary I saw, they change the name from Uranus, to put a stop to all the silly jokes, and rename it Urectum.

FoodMishap · 27/10/2023 18:39

That’s brilliant @ItsSoStimulatingBeingYourHat

Nah I disagree with everyone else, I think she saw the picture of a planet, thought 'oh my grandson loves space' and didn't really think too much beyond that. If she gives it to an 8 year old they're probably just going to wonder why there's a line between the letters. The parents though will either be mortified or in stitches!

You get to your eighties and you become unable to get a joke or know what an anus is, you mean? So you see a picture of a planet only? Really?

Is that going to happen to you when you are eighty, do you think?

porridgeisbae · 27/10/2023 18:38

@Chasingsquirrels I thought it was a hand towel, too.

@ItsSoStimulatingBeingYourHat I have an embarrassing Alex Bellfield U.N.T mug. But I bought that intentionally. Grin Blush

BalloonSalesperson · 27/10/2023 18:36

She’s cutting off her fingers so she’s probably in a considerable amount of pain

😁

What on earth is wrong with you?!

BalloonSalesperson · 27/10/2023 18:32

I class myself as old . I'm in my 50s . Old / young is just a description for me , I didn't realise you can't use the term old . Some of my clothes are old. My dogs old . So I didn't know it was an "ist" .

I think it was the implication that old = a bit dim that rankled.

itsmyp4rty · 27/10/2023 18:31

shivawn · 27/10/2023 18:29

I talking about a woman in her 80 s not a woman in her 50s !

I don't think anyone read "little old lady" and thought you were talking about a woman in her 50's.

Anyway, it's such an old overused joke, it's been around since I was a little kid, I'm sure it won't cause any heart attacks.

FoodMishap · 27/10/2023 18:29

capabilityfrowns · 27/10/2023 17:29

And I agree it's not funny at all . Can someone report my ageist thread please . Im busy chopping my fingers off so I can never cause offence ever again on a forum . Thank you .

Yes , well quite. that’s the kind of remorseful sensible attitude we need more of on MN.
