I had to Google to find out what they were. Turns out I have been noticing the ghastly things for the last couple of weeks.

I am slim, in good shape and have a good bum and there's no way on earth I would wear these I think they're awful and I wouldn't want to draw that much attention to myself when out in public! My husband likes them though, he's asked me to get some but I can't face wearing them even in the house. I live in regular thick leggings though

My leotard was purple over black shorts. 🤣.

Striped leotard over black lycra short shorts, white slouch socks rather than legwarmers, even white wristbands and a very high ponytail. Sometimes it was a plain leotard over striped shorts. I trained to teach Exercise to Music, and very much wanted to be like the Course Leader, who dressed in that style.
I thought I was the Bees Knees!

(There was some cotton in the fabric, so much less chance of sweating and chafing - which I think the high lycra content these days can cause rather than prevent.)

Years ago you could get pants and swim-trunks like this that were marketed to gay men, and I wouldn't be surprised if you still can.

I saw a woman wearing a flesh covered pair today - she was wearing granny pants underneath, which rather defeated the object. She was also pushing a toddler who had bare feet (it was cold here today) so I'm afraid I did rather pull a face like a disapproving Lady Button.
