Clive and Iuliia Gurzhii were all over the news for 3 days in August, after idiotically going to give birth on a beach a long way from home.
The birth was unwitnessed and very odd circumstances.
I googled them and all I could find was a gofundme (never saw that one coming!!) - it raised GBP128 out of an ambitious target of GBP15.000.

Do you think they are still out there?

Clive's got child abandonment down to a fine art, hasn't he?

Dixiechickonhols · 13/11/2023 10:57

There’s clearly been social services involvement. By going to press in summer they altered authorities to fact 8 year old had been left behind by both her parents in March.
She was in care of a relative according to press but this would need verification and checking as suitable family fostering, the girl has been abandoned for 6 months at this point.
It reads as though 7/9 there was some type of welfare check visit. Auntie doesn’t sound cooperative and child wasn’t seen as she ran off (which is concerning as she’s only 8)
Presumably she’s alerted him and Clive has then come home to deal with this leaving wife and baby in Caribbean.
15/9 the authorities have revisited and girl been taken into foster care.
Very curious re updates about baby. Last update was they needed a dna test. Why the delay? Also what income have they been living on in Caribbean.

I don't think you should post the child's name and photo, none of this is her fault.

The aunt left with family friends and left the eight year old in the street?? These people are batshit if they think this is painting them in a good light.

Trying to pick through the way this is written, I think what happening is that she was playing outside with friends when the visit on 7 Sept happened (not clear if that was out in their garden or playing out in the street), she saw what was happening (from the street). The aunt left with other family friends, daughter "ran off" and was taken to safety (whatever that means) by another family friend. Not clear where the police were at that point.

That all led to "an unnecessary enormity of police presence"

meditrina · 12/11/2023 23:36

Yes "legal fraud police" does very much read like a freeman of the land guff, as does "we in line with the growing national concern, are creating local inquiries and grand JURY's" (sic)

In case the flyer is deleted again (identifying details have been removed, but the photo of the elder daughter is still unredacted), precis is that it is an appeal for information about "unlawful attempt to steal a local child" and the page with her photo is titled "missing" and captioned "has your child been targeted and taken by the local authorities?"

It's a little muddled - even though it says "emergency update 7/10/23" it reads as though it was written on/around 7 September (when police visited the aunt, who telephoned Clive - both parents still in Grenada at that point - to let him know)

(NB: newspaper story about their difficulties with the authorities re birth certificate following birth on yacht and move from St Lucia to Grenada was published mid-August. At that stage, they were awaiting DNA results which were required to establish claim to British nationality as none of the usual supporting documents required for that existed. So these events were nearly a month after that)

Some time after that, Clive had a telephone conversation with the police (confusing account provided)

On 15 September, she was "forcibly kidnapped from the arms of her dad"
(so he must have been in the country then.

Various allegations of quite strange police actions re their property and their animals, lasting over 8 days (not clear what date/s)

Refers to the father as Clive, and the contact phone number is for Chris.

@Mrchadchad please stop sharing this poster in full, it’s been deleted once. This is a young child and this is a massive safeguarding issue that you are showing her face and details. Popping it behind a sensitive screen doesn’t make any difference.

Clive and Iullia and their story is (I will admit) fascinating, but it should be about them and their actions, not their children.

I’m guessing the flyer was deleted as it contained phone numbers and email addresses.

It also had a photo of the little girl, and her name. Her face should be blanked out, if it's reposted.

Angrycat2768 · 12/11/2023 15:32

I wonder ifvthe mum and baby are in hiding somewhere worried that the baby will be taken into care? Or they couldn't prove it was their baby so they are still in the Caribbean? But how would they live?

MadeOfAllWork · 12/11/2023 15:27

I’m guessing the flyer was deleted as it contained phone numbers and email addresses. It would be good if someone who has one could post it again with the phone numbers etc covered up.

Bridgertonned · 12/11/2023 14:34

@YouCanExfilNow I'm over Ashton way, he's tried to film around some of the council buildings and share the flyers - presumably trying to find staff he thinks are responsible or to intimidate people but more likely he'll have been filming members of the public who are nothing to do with what has happened, given how busy those places are. No idea what has happened to the baby, in fact whether mum and baby even made it back to the UK?

No this does happen. That women get to birthing stage without knowing they are pregnant. I know two people in real life this has happened to. They were not overweight women either. It does happen.

I used to be sceptical but it's a combination of certain circumstances:

(1) someone who does not usually have periods for some reason (e.g. contraception) OR who gets light spotting during the pregnancy and mistakes it for a period. OR someone whose period stops but it can be explained away as stress, training for a sport.

(2) The baby is more 'standing up' than curled into a bump.

(3) Someone with a long torso and/or muscular torso which 'holds in' a bump.

(4) small baby.

(5) placenta positioned to absorb kicks. Or kicks mistaken for indigestion.

(6) sometimes but not always - denial

It's not going to happen loads, but there are 140 million babies born every year. If it happens only 'one in a million' that's 140 people every year.

More idiots who intentionally wanted to give birth in a stupid and dangerous place (the countryside days from a hospital in a country with poor infrastructure).
"Mystery illness for 9 months"
"Went into the forest to give birth in the shade"
Give me strength.
No thought for the baby as anything other than an Instagram prop in either of these cases.

Edited

Bridgertonned · 12/11/2023 13:45

Assuming it's the same one, Clive has been distributing flyers in the local area re an older child, with the child's name and photo, seeking witnesses. Lots of lengthy claims about 'legal fraud' against the police and the council for taking her illegally. Must be horrible for the child and can't imagine how much harder it must make the whole thing, with everyone in the area knowing your business.

Gingerkittykat · 12/11/2023 13:22

The post with the flyer has been deleted.

Is it the older child who has been taken into care?

Mrchadchad · 12/11/2023 12:05

Clive is definitely back, he handed this poster in at a friend's workplace and my friend recognised him

Bridgertonned · 12/11/2023 11:45

Don't want to say too much as wouldn't be fair to the children, but Clive (or whatever his name is) has been causing hassle in the local community with his campaigns, so presume it's true (and it is his flyer, he's been delivering them himself)
I hadn't clocked it was the same person as the one trying to have a child abroad.

NOTANUM · 12/11/2023 10:09

@Testina do you have a link to the original thread? I can’t find it but am now intrigued!

Catsmere · 12/11/2023 10:03

OhBeAFineGuyKissMe · 12/11/2023 09:59

This is really incredibly sad now. That poor girl, being forcibly taken into foster care (even if needed) will affect her for the rest of her life.

If it happened at all ...

Testina · 12/11/2023 09:27

I posted about Clive’s fell running controversies on the first thread!
There was definitely a poster then who picked up that he was part of the nutnut freemen of the land nonsense.
I’ve been periodically checking for more news and as the OP said - nothing.
Apart from their stupidity not being a good reason for a GoFundMe, they anyway made the mistake of creating that after selling their story - so no link to it.

That flyer is a development!

I don’t think it’s been written by Clive.
Don’t ask me why, but I just feel that he can use capitals. I think he didn’t in the GoFundMe.

I expect the flyer has been created by a friend or even just acquaintance via the freemen movement who have picked on this. The flyer is trying to build a larger case against the “legal fraud police 🙄)
Clive might not even be happy this flyer is out there - though I think he’s up to his neck in Freemen shite. For that reason, I wouldn’t assume any of it is accurate - so he might not have actually flown back.

Doctor: Which one of you is the mother?
Your friends: We both are.
Doctor: sorry, which one is the birth mother?
Friend: I am the birth mother.

Simple. Birth 'parent' sounds as though dads can give birth too when they can't. As a woman who has given birth, I hate the term birthing person.

And as a woman who has given birth twice, it doesn't bother me in the slightest. Because it has literally no impact on me whatsoever. Or you.

Circularargument · 12/11/2023 09:09

SunsetBeauregarde · 20/10/2023 21:54

Which mother? My best friend and her wife are both mothers to their beautiful baby girl, and the use of ‘birthing parent’ has been brilliant for them as medical professionals have needed to distinguish which one of them gave birth.

👏

It was just an excuse for the usual rage that people dare to use inclusive language. Only shows the fount of this reaction is nothing progressive.
