Clive and Iuliia Gurzhii were all over the news for 3 days in August, after idiotically going to give birth on a beach a long way from home.
The birth was unwitnessed and very odd circumstances.
I googled them and all I could find was a gofundme (never saw that one coming!!) - it raised GBP128 out of an ambitious target of GBP15.000.

Do you think they are still out there?

Blimey @taxnotme well found out!

Bet the Daily Mail pick it up!!

TooBigForMyBoots · 31/07/2024 16:54

Crazy.🤯

MadeOfAllWork · 31/07/2024 16:52

Oh well found! I was just thinking about them the other day and wondered what had happened. I assume the child on the boat was the baby. All the notes they wrote sound very ‘freeman of the land’.

MalteserGeezee · 31/07/2024 16:34

People smuggling?!? What the heck is this whole thing about?! Their poor baby, and poor child back in England with these two scholars for parents!

CountryStore · 31/07/2024 16:27

Curioser and curioser 🤔

Probably because one was the mother and one was the aunt. Obviously.

where there are two female parents it is different - there are two mothers.

It really doesn't simplify things any more than saying "I gave birth to him".

Speaking as a gay mum who has taken kiddo (with my wife) to many appointments, my wife has never been hurt by this exchange.

'Birthing person' sounds like pretentious nonsense.

RedPony1 · 31/07/2024 16:00

That's mental!

artandtalk · 31/07/2024 15:40

That poor 8 year old. Or now 10 year old. I hope someone is looking after her.

That is them! so they're in prison on Cayman, where is the 1 year old baby and did they ever go home to their 8 year old?!

It said in the article that there was a child on board, so that's maybe the little one?

Anyone know what happened to this family? I feel really sad for the kids.

I am desperate to know!

So this couple live on the same street as my ex partner. They have an older daughter around 8-9 years old who they left in GB while they were out having a baby on a beach. Said child was being look after by a young relative that they brought over from the Ukraine. Long story short, social services got involved and the older child is missing and has been for months. No one knows where her or her mothers niece is.

Are the couple and the baby living there now, as in have returned from the Caribbean?

Testina · 14/02/2024 17:36

The Gofundme was discussed on here before. It was weird. They set it up after they sold their story to the press - and anyway, people’s reactions (not just here!) were pretty negative. Despite that, there’s usually some daft buggers easily scammed. Yet it went to £128 quickly then nothing at all. I think a lot of people know a lot about them - and not in a good way. It’s interesting that the media dropped the story completely. Does suggest a total shitshow that they don’t want to get caught presenting the “poor them” side of.

I hope both the children are safe 😢

There was a poster on the previous thread who claimed to know them and that the older child was having a fabulous day out in Blackpool with her “aunt” - but I don’t think that poster is going to resurface!

It’s a very odd story indeed.

This is a very strange tale...

MadeOfAllWork · 13/11/2023 22:55

Very Freeman of the Land type stuff.

Im assuming that Clive is in and out of the country visiting Julia and the baby who I’m guessing are still stuck wherever they are. So he Chris is a friend who can take messages.
